I'm not really a comic fan (although I like the films) but is it just me who thinks of Mary Jane Watson whenever someone says MJ?

I couldn't beleive it had been a year already either. It's probably because it's been in the news pretty much constantly since the day it happened. I think of Mary Jane from Spiderman too when I hear 'MJ' - it's only been in the past few weeks i've thought of Tina's dog too.

I missed the last hour of the show as I have to leave for work but I'm glad they played Man in the Mirror before i turned off. Love that song.

I have the misfortune to work with a Diana Fan. Sometimes I just want to rip her tongue out and shove it up her arse she talks so much bollocks about the stupid tart.

Diana was overrated... however, I have to correct Mr Bonanzoid, it's the Daily Mail's even poorer rival shitrag, the Express that's obsessed with her (Dirty Desmond is a good friend of Mohammad Al Fayed.)

The MJ half-hour ended up being the soundtrack to my stressed-out parents yell a lot at each other, as we were minutes away from leaving for a trip down to their new place in Cumbria and Mum had already set Dad's planned car departure time back an hour. Ah, family traditions. It was still fabulous though.

I was a fan throughout most of my teens (and a bit before as well) and fully admit to being hit hard a year ago by his death. It didn't bring my life to a standstill or anything, and in fact I'd sort of mentally prepared for it ages beforehand, but I was one of those who sobbed when Chris played Man in the Mirror that Friday morning in 2009.

It was something of a relief to have this holiday to get on with this year and not be bogging myself down with sad memories or feeling the need to "do something". I haven't actually bothered to play any of his songs over the past few days, as I think I'm still bored of them since wearing them all out for weeks and weeks after he actually died. I'll be sure to buy any of this "new" material that Sony has promised though.

One year on eh? If years were children it would only be another 7 or 8 years till he started sleeping with them*

Ah yes Topher, I couldn't remember the exact paper so I went with what first sprang to my mind when I thought 'shitrag.'
