Will you be watching?

If I'm not doing anything else, yes. I love a good royal wedding, I want to see what everyone is wearing and laugh at the ridiculous hats. But I wouldn't sit in front of the telly to watch it if I had the opportunity to be doing something else.

No, I'm at work. Not sure if I would watch if I wasn't. My bro was born on the day Charles and Diana got married, so it brings back a lot of memories. Mainly of sitting at a neighbours' house all day while my parents were at the hospital, with nothing else on tv.

Hopefully but I have a massive christening to sort for too, I'd like to see what everyone is wearing and see her walk up the aisle.

No. I'm pleased for them and wish them every happiness, but will not be watching/celebrating in any way. The whole merchandising thing has kept me amused though....

I still think she looks like a more fragile version of Martine McCutcheon. Who I think is incredibly pretty.

I'm actually quite glad that we have a Royal family in this country, from a revenue point of view. It attracts a lot of tourism which equals cash, but I just find it very hard to get excited about the wedding of people I don't know. I wish them well, as I would any newly wed couple, but I'll be working and not taking much interest.

I will be watching. I don't remember much of Diana and Charles wedding as i was 3 when they got married. Just done a bit of baking for my watching party at my parents home.

No. Maybe put the Radio on, I washed my car during Diana's funeral, might do the same for this wedding, or weed, or saw up some logs, or bake, or hoover that hall stairs and landing........

What ever it is I know I will get the same recollection of the Wedding when I undertake that task again.

I have no plans to watch it, but then the Mrs piped up yesterday and said "as I am working on Friday, can you record it then we can watch it in the evening when I am home"... oh deep joy.

I agree, I have two friends who are anti Royal but are more than happy to take the day off   One said "I don't want to see their ugly mugs on screen" to which I replied that Kate Middleton is not ugly & not only that I'd rather see them on screen than Jordan, Jodie Marsh, the cast of EastEnders, the "cast" of The Only Way Is Essex, Harry Redknapp & dozen more so called "celebrities". I for one like that we still have a Royal family.

I like your thinking, I must make sure I go to a pub whilst it's on ;)

I'm quite intrigued to watch it. Never seen one before, as contrary to what my work colleague thinks I didn't watch Charles & Diana's wedding as I was born in 1985! (Don't ask - should've gone in the what's making me laugh thread)

I saw commemorative tins of biscuits in M&S this morning. I always think it's worth buying merch cos it will increase in value. But then I was browsing ebay looking for a Charles & Diana souvenir I could buy our Darren as a joke present for his 30th, and there's tons of crap going dirt cheap, so maybe the Kate & William stuff won't be worth anything after all...

I'm a monarchist, but not to the extent that I would get souvenirs of any event.

Is anyone doing a street party? The whole thing is being vastly ignored up these ways. It's basically just a day off work.
