Finally! I have scanned all 6 pages of the article and converted it to text. It's a big article (33k .txt worth) so if you want to read all of it, then it'll take a while!
http://www.thedr.freeserve.co.uk/starticle.txt
Good point Sticky :) I own a Tiny PC with Micr$oft Windows installed - if you look near my arm you will see 2 stickers - Pentium and another one, but one is hidden by my arm. Guess which one? Microsoft. But when I compare the photo to real life, I see that it isn't obscured by my arm - they have airbrushed it out! :) Anyway - Tiny should give me some free gear for a their cameo in the photo :)
Wannabe Mrs Moyles: It's very strange you should mention that, from the article:
‘We had that letter from
Warner Brothers, you see, so of course we’re terrified,
aren’t we?’ she said.
‘What letter from Warner Brothers?’
‘Oh, I thought you must have known about that,’
I turned to Daniel—doing a poor job, of seeming terri-
fied — who explained that he had created a website
for Harry Potter. To do this he’d registered the domain
name Harry-Potter.org.uk. ‘The mistake I made was
using my real address,’ he said. Usually when I register
domain names use a fake address.’ The real address
had enabled Warner Brothers — owned by AOL Time
Warner — first to find Daniel and then threaten to sue
him, as it owned the internet rights to the name ‘Harry
Potter’, or thought it did. ‘The letter just came through
the door,’ said Loretta. ‘It was my worst nightmare.
I didn’t want to be sued by Warner Brothers, did I? I just
wanted to lead a normal quiet life.’
‘I remain adamant that it is my right to build a Hany
Potter fan site on the Web,’ said Daniel.
Lorella didn’t know about that. But she had a friend at
work who knew a solicitor who recommended ignoring
the letter, and as Daniel was intent on doing just that,
that’s what she did. Warner Brothers, perhaps realising
how it might look to others if they were seen jailing
children for their enthusiasm for Harry Potter, faded
away.
the_dr
