With my beloved Pompey taking on Wolves at fratton park this weekend, who does everyone think is going to go down?

i think leeds and wolves are down, then its out of pompey, leicester and a few other outsiders such as man city and blackburn, but i doubt they will get sucked in.

its good to hear what people who dont support one of the teams' point of view is.

No matter what the result is at Fratton, if we beat Villa we're out of the relegation zone. I think we can stay up, we just need our confidence back.

apolagies in advance, but who are you refering to as WE?

i assume u mean Leicester, but if pompey win then none of the teams in the relegation zone can move out.

I [predict Wolves, Leeds and Pompey. Thats a view from a Newcastle fan who I think will finish 5th.

think newcastle will finish 4th after Arsenal top Man U 2nd and Chelsea 3rd. Liverpool and Charlton will battle for 5th place.

i think if we lose to wolves (which is more than likley) this saturday, then we are down.

van nistelrooy just signed new contract that will last until he is 32 and also the premiership chairmen have agreed to impose a nine point deduction on any team that goes into administration. but i dont think it will affect leeds this season as it says "its now in the rule book but wont come into force until 3rd june" or something like that.

Don't you think its a little too early to say who going down? I mean there's still months ahead and some great matches to watch. All I'm saying at the moment is that I hope Leeds don't go down and that they sort their current finicial problems out.

yes is a bit early i know just that this weekends match (pompey v wolves) could prove to be a very important game.

if wolves stay up they will be only the second team ever to be bottom at christmas and survive in premiership elite!!!

You are welcome to bring back the thread named "Predictions Thread" if you're into football.

I think Portsmouth might win it - although we'll wait and see and comment after the match. Could be a good match.

Does this mean if Wolves win - they go up a place?

if wolves beat pompey they could move up to 3rd from bottom if leicester lose to villa. if wolves win by a big margin they could move out of the relegation zone completley and pompey would be in it.

I don't care as long as Leeds go down.

I'm beginning to think both Wolves and Leicester might survive though...

I don't want Leeds to go down after thinking about it because it would mean no Yorkshire teams in the premiership and being a true Yorkshire man I would feel ashamed.

I thought that last year but it didn't happen. They deserve to be, I think they would do well in the Premiership.

Leicester = 1st team
Blades = 2nd team

I don't feel as passionate about the Blades as I do about Leicester, but I like them to do well. And plus, it winds you up, which is another bonus.

Glad to see Ex-pompey Striker Peter Crouch scored twice today. He should now be given more time on the pitch after being frozen out by the Manager.
