I don't know if anyone cares but just a couple of weeks before their breakfast show on Key 103 is due to end, Joel has left.

I don't know this for sure (cos I was listening to Moyles) but apparently he didn't turn up for work on Friday following his birthday party the night before. JK will present their remaining shows on his own.

I see Mike Toolan is getting the breakfast show - wasn't it his show before? He is on my local station on Sundays, seems okay but sometimes doesn't have much to talk about. Likes name dropping too.

Yeah, Toolan did have the show before. He's done mid mornings for the past three and a half years. I've always liked him so I think it's a good move. I presume his networked Sunday show will be dropped though.

Certainly a thousand times better than Steve f***ing Penk any day. Still, seems like a bit of an odd idea moving someone because they aren't as good then moving them back afterwards. I don't think Producer Sean will be there, though.

He will be. It's been confirmed. He used to produce Toolan's old brekky show but left (I think) to produce the breakfast show on Hallam FM (which I presume is the local station you're on about).

Will be interesting to see how Toolan fares against Moyles in the Manchester figures.

Fair enough. I doubt that Moyles will have a significant affect on the local stations' ratings.

Joel was allowed back for their last show today, so I ditched Moyles and listened to them instead this morning.

Despite what "Moyles Fan" thinks, I believe these two will become big stars on Radio One (feel free to quote this at a later date though). It was a brilliant last show and it's such a shame they are leaving Manchester and Key 103 as they really were shining stars in a galaxy of sh*t radio up here. Mind you them moving suits me in a way as I will now get to hear both them and Moyles.

I get the impression some people will dislike them at first (it takes a while to get used to Joel's voice) but after that I think they will settle in and turn out to be great signings. I don't often say this but well done Andy Parfitt for getting them on board.

With them joining and Mills on the move to afternoons, I'm just getting a sneaky feeling that Coxy may not return after having her baby. Or is that just wishful thinking...

If anyone wants to listen to a clip of JK and Joel and hear what they sound like then there is a clip from their last Key 103 show below. Admittedly this is nicked from another site, is in fairly poor quality and sounds badly edited (cos it is taken from The Hits Digital Radio Station which used to carry the show an hour in delay and edit out all the Key 103 references).
