Yeah I know this is not a tech support forum, but there are a few people on here who I think might be able to help me... Hopefully.
I have a web site, the database for which is currently flat DBM files and I would like to migrate it to MySQL. In order to do this I would like to have MySQL installed on my home machine so I can test it in the same way I test my Perl files on the Apache I've got running.
My problem is thus: unfortunately I had MySQL installed, but in a moment of madness, uninstalled it - now I can't seem to get the setup executable to run again - I've tried re-downloading it, deleting anything obviously to do with MySQL from the hard drive and the registry (but didn't get too involved with this cos I'm not that experienced with editing the registry.) The file appears to run as a process in task manager for a second or so, but then disappears, so my guess would be that it is checking for something that hasn't been removed and exits when it finds it or something... But I'm totally stuck.
If anyone can help I'd greatly appreciate it, cos I'm all out of suggestions... Thank you.

You are a disgrace and I'm looking forward to when someone you respect dies so I can rub your liberal face in it.
