Perfect for trash as people who dont like it dont have to read on. Sunday for wrestling fans is Wrestlemania 21 and only a paltry 8 matches from last years big 11 matches. Last years seemed to have better matches and better feuds but anyway heres my choices.

Triple H vs Batista
Batista is on a high at the moment and it seems he has no chance in losing so that means that he will. It always seems that the person with momentum balls it up and Triple H will retain the title to upset all the fans. Triple H has had horrible luck in previous manias like losing to benoit last year, being one of undertakers 12 victims and losing within 2 minutes to Ultimate Warrior in 1996. I know ive overlooked that he won undisputed championship from Jericho but that was because he was a face.

JBL vs John Cena
John Cena will win, purely to plug his rap cd and his acting leading role debut. JBL has had the title since July 04 and its time for him to drop it. He is deeply unpopular, even more so than Triple H and there is always a good guy winning a title at Mania overcoming the odds - expect JBL's stooges to interfere but Cena to hang on and win it.

Trish Stratus vs Christy Hemme
Couldnt give a rats ass but Trish will win and Christy will end up with her bare ass showing probably to plug the playboy magazine.

Akebono vs Big Show
Another non-event for me - nobody really knows what will happen and does anyone care. Big Show will probably win.

Randy Orton vs Undertaker
History dictates that Undertaker has wrestled in 12 Manias and its 12 wins to none. At the very start I was going for Orton to do an upset but in the past few weeks, its become very obvious that the Undertaker will notch up another win but they will push Orton to not be afraid of him and not be put in a squash match like Kane last year.

Shawn Michaels vs Kurt Angle
Possibly the last PPV to feature Angle because his neck is getting gradually worse. Michaels is Mr Wrestlemania. This match will overshadow every match on the card. Both are technically gifted wrestlers and the two best on the microphone probably at the moment.

Money in the Bag Ladder Match (Briefcase suspended above the ring and whoever gets briefcase has a Championship match guaranteed any time any place in the next 12 months)
Kane vs Chris Jericho vs Chris Benoit vs Shelton Benjamin vs Christian vs Edge

Edge will win, he has never had a Championship match at a PPV ever. Benoit is in there to keep the match going a long time. Kane for the powerhouse cleaning the place up, Jericho and Christian good ladder match specialists but dont seem ready to step up according to management. Shelton Benjamin is in a no lose situation, he can showcase his talent but is too green yet and is still Intercontinental Champion so has to lose it before he challenges.

Eddie Guerreo vs Rey Mysterio
The card opener most likely as no titles are on the line and both are friends who decided to fight each other for some friendly rivalry. Itll be a good fast match but noone really cares. Rey Mysterio will win because he is being groomed for champion.

Havent watched wrestling in a long while, the only thing I have really watched recently was last years WrestleMania. However this is my relatively uninformed take on this years event. That said, I have heard they're coming to Nottingham Arena again so may go watch it as the live events are pretty good.

WWE WrestleMania XXI - WM Goes Hollywood
Ok there lies my first problem... wrestlemania goes hollywood? yet I see no sign of any big celebs making an appearance, or even Mr Bollea in his 'Hollywood Hulk Hogan' persona. That said there's usually some kind of surprise. Past wrestlemanias and other PPVs have been star studded affairs, but now it's actually in LA, I can't see the celebs flocking to mix it with grapple fans meself. Maybe The Rock will make an appearance to promote his self-parodying role in Be Cool, but that's probably gonna be it.

Triple H vs Batista
Batista? in a title match? so that's how theyre playing it, having all the members of Evolution face Triple H. Last time out it was Orton breaking away and I believe he was champion for a while, but lost it to HHH. This time it looks like it might go the other way round, which is good but very predictable. Look out for Ric Flair VS HHH next year with some kind of "master vs protegee fued" type gimmick like they did with Al Snow and Maven and Big Boss Man and Bull Buchanan a few years

JBL vs John Cena
As JBL has had a long and unpopular reign, including the now infamous incident where he did nazi salutes to fans during a show in Germany, it's time for Cena to win the title. This was a natural follow up to his US Title win (i think) over Big Show last year at the Garden.

Trish Stratus vs Christy Hemme
I hope Christy Hemme beats Trash... I mean Trish in this one... not much else to say except why isn't Lita in contention for this title though, it's been very rare that she's been given the chances she deserves at 'Mania, and when she did appear it was as part of a 3 way TLC tag match (which btw was a classic).

Akebono vs Big Show
I have no idea who Akebono is, but I'm guessing he'll get an upset win over Big Show.

Randy Orton vs Undertaker
Hmmm Undertaker never loses at WrestleMania... not sure which way they'd go with this 1, make it unlucky 13 and have him actually lose, or have him more dominant over smug twerp Orton (I don't like him much, but he's still better than Brock Lesnar) than he ever has been over any1 else.

Shawn Michaels vs Kurt Angle
Like em or not, these are both talented entertainers in the ring, with styles that differ but also compliment each other. HBK will probably win though, but I think this match will possibly be one of the longer ones as both men can actually carry a good endurance match.

Ok 4 half decent wrestlers in this match, but what the hell are Shelton and Christian doing in there? My guess is they will either win, or have a hand in screwing someone else (maybe Kane?) over.

Eddie Guerreo vs Rey Mysterio
No titles or aything, just a 'friendly' rivalry but I'm guessing it will get more 'serious' and Guerrero will either win or be DQd, both via cheating.

Extra I noticed on WWE.com
Stone Cold Steve Austin on Piper's Pit
So this mean's Piper's now back in the WWE? They really should learn, Piper's Pit failed dismally the second time round, so why would it work the 3rd? They hope to rescue this feature and restore it to it's former greatness with Steve Austin? It's a no brainer to predict Piper will end up the victim of a Stunner after trying to tw@t Austin when he's not looking OR under the pretence of sharing a beer with him.

Yep. Though it doesn't look the usual classic it could have been sadly. Probably too hard to follow up WM20 which was awesome in parts.

Sadly Stone Cold is only coming back to promote one of his movies for a guess, I just remembered he signed a 3 movie deal with WWE films a short while back. Because of his neck he will probably never get back in the ring properly.
Looks like he's gonna be the only movie star in it, unless you count Triple H who was great as a villain in Blade: Trinity and any other wrestlers who've had roles in 1 or 2 movies.

christian and shelton benjamin are possibly the two best wrestlers in the company at the moment if you overlook benoit.
akebono is a sumo wrestling champion and his match again big show is a sumo match.
the hollywood angle is cos they did a load of parodies for famous movies and also sylvester stallone is appearing to give hulk his hall of fame.

brock lesnar was taught to wrestle by... shelton benjamin. Just because they arent 6 ft 9 and 300 pounds doesnt mean they are no good. I prefer them to the slow tall idiots like Goldberg, Heidenreich and Kevin Nash.
The reason that Lita isnt wrestling is because she is injured. This woman is always injured because she cannot wrestle. Risk taking is all very well but at least even the simplest of moves cannot be done by lita. This injury was brought on by herself at New Years Revolution when she attempted something from the ring apron to the mat, which if truth be told aint that big a jump but somehow she didnt execute it right and landed on the mat on her ankles. Trish had to pretend she was fine and beat her for like 2 minutes without touching her so to speak. Plus Lita has off camera been sleeping with Adam Copeland and isnt the flavour of the month considering she was seeing another wrestler at the time.

Okay a few points... looks like when I watched it last Shelton wasn't being given the chance to showcase his full skills then, but Brock Lesnar obviously didn't learn much from him, they guy had about 1 move. At least Goldberg was more convincing with his attitude etc.

Lita may have limited abilities since her neck injury but before that the only woman she could not compete with was Chyna... now I'd say probably add Victoria, Jazz and Molly Holly to that list, (possibly Christy Hemme but I haven't seen her in a match yet). Trish Stratus, Torrie Wilson, Stacy Keibler, Stephanie McMahon etc have no discernible talent other than the T&A element I've never seen them even ATTEMPT half-decent moves.... (except maybe Steph).

Also if Lita isn't exactly flavour of the month because of the Edge thing, fair enough, but...
Why does HE still get the match, with you predicting he will win it???

Conveniently forgetting of course that HE was the one who made the first move, and at the time HE was already married.... Yet they seem to be acting like he's totally blameless.

jazz was released
trish has improved leaps and bounds
christy is purely t and a
goldberg wasnt convincing
you are wrong with brock. its not his own ability, its the ability of also making ur opponent look good. he managed this with big show, something noone has really done.
chyna was a token female, just cos she was ugly and muscular they built her up. she wasnt good either, just booked to look good - as with goldberg.
