As reported in several of the papers today, Chris has signed up to perform before Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne in the ITV talent show.
An insider said: "It's not the kind of thing Chris would normally do but he thinks it will be great fun. If he gets any grief he can give as good as he gets. It's guaranteed explosive watching."
Moyles joins Hollyoaks' Jodi Albert, TV nutritionist Gillian McKeith and magician Paul Daniels and wife Debbie McGee.
The show starts on May 29 on ITV.
