Chris was at the memorial for Christopher Price this morning. Kylie sent a note attached to an arrangement of red and pink blooms that read: Dear Chris, I am an absolute fan and am so happy to have met you.
I was very much looking forward to seeing you again, in fact I still am. With much love and a big hug, Kylie. Kylie is currently on tour so was unable to attend the service at the Brompton Oratory in South Kensington, central London.
Among the mourners was Claire Sweeney, who was due to co-host BBC Choice's coverage of the Eurovision Song Contest with Price later this month. Ralf Little, Jenny Eclair and Claudia Winkleman.
In contrast to the presenter's often exuberant style, the Catholic mass was a sombre occasion with traditional hymns and requiems sung by the oratory choir.
Last Night Leeds player Gary Kelly celebrated his testimonial against his favourite club, Celtic, and Leeds were trounced 4-1 and Kelly gave his £700,000 from the match to charity. They talk about the Man U VS Arsenal game tonight. Chris delves into the BBC Internal Magazine Aerial and to page 13 entitled What Am I Doing Here. There you find an interview with none other than Mr Greyhead Kinder. The article gets the once over by Chris and he points out the vital flaws and mistakes within the piece. Chris has made the page available online to further embarrass Will. He questions Will about what he thought was the highlight of the show. Will had been quoted as saying Culshaw. Chris reminds him that Culshaw hasnt been on for about 6 months. Will says that the interview was done in the summer 2001 and that the feature had been dropped in October because of the Air Attacks on the US article. They did get in contact with him and have updated the story at the end including their US trip. Chris decides to play a game of guess the missing words from the Will article with Dave with Will chipping in.
Sport Monkey Phillip Stud has been reporting for the last 17 days at the snooker for Radio 5 Live. This gets him doing Ted Lowe impressions (famous whispering Snooker commentator who last year retired). Chris plays Part Two of the John Lydon interview. Jonny has his own TV show in America called Rotten TV but has gotten into censorship troubles so he is going to go elsewhere and start a show. He said that TV was the next step on his crusade. Lydon will be over in the UK for the Jubillee concert and says that there will be at least 5 bands on the bill.
Chris trawls the papers looking for tat. Geri Halliwell is writing a sitcom along with friend Alan Cumming. Chris reads that Richard Madeley has demanded more sex on screen and complained that television is not raunchy enough. The host of Channel 4's Richard & Judy says it is ludicrous that erections are banned from British TV.
He said: Frankly, I don't think that what we see on television is erotic enough. I haven't seen a sex scene on television recently that has remotely turned me on. He joked: And I've been there till 4am waiting for it. This gets Chris onto the sort of late night programming Richard should watch. He talks about the Playboy TV Night Calls which I admit am aware of too but like him dont know whether it still exists. It was meant to be sexy and erotic but it was absolutely hilarious because you would get pervs ringing up and talking to the 2 girls and a fax girl.
Tittley is on the phone. Paul has been in the Cannock papers again but this time suffers the indignity of being upstaged by the Dwarf Champioship being held there where midget compete in weightlifting, swimming etc. Paul says his best moment was the aeroplane ride over the Las Vegas. Chris talks about how Sada from Big Brother 1 was at the Playboy Mansion. Paul claims that he is more famous than she is. Chris couldnt believe that Paul turned down going to a lapdancing venue for going with Jude to the Casino and playing craps. Chris says that he reminds him of a goofy Gareth Gates. Back to the Madeley talk and Will has an email from someone with a link to some stuff that might help Richard get excited. Will is unhappy because the filth isnt downloading as quick as he wants it to.
