Last night was the radio one Christmas party, Dave was the only who went. One of the bosses was DJing which Chris found bizarre. There was only one good story that they couldn't tell on air. Dave can't remember getting home, he was plastered on the free beer. He was supposed to catch a lift with Rachel from the Saturday Show but he can't remember whether he did or not. Chris went to the pub with Les Dennis.
They had Dominic Mohan from The Sun in the studio. He came in to give Chris an award for best DJ from The Sun voters. He talked about Popstars: The Rivals and the fact compared to the previous series the records haven't sold as much. Dominic was also dissapointed with David being the winner of Fame Acadamy, he said the BBC promised him a new Noel Gallagher or Richard Ashcroft. He's doing his own local radio show and Dave tried to come up with features to help him out.
Eddie Izzard. Those are two words which mean bad interviewee. Chris tried his best with him but it just was 45 minutes of rambling. It would jump from bizarre topic to another bizarre topic. This meant that they were way over time for the news. Eddie was in to promote his new DVD called Circle. It features commentary in both English and French. Chris said at the start that some stuff might go over his head because Eddie is very smart.
The whole interview sort of revolved around countries which included a French Phrase-Off, Dave counting to 10 in Cantonese, Eddie talking about Strap On Baps. Eddie switched on the Xmas Tree lights in the Studio.
Chris evaluated the interview after 5pm but with the addedness of Eddie Izzard still in the background chipping in. Dave asked him what Denier meant on tights. Chris ad-libbed with Eddie about guests as Eddie pretended he was in the team talking him down.
Jess joined the team with the returning Will producing the show. Jess made Eddie went to half 5 so he could sign 15 copies of the dvds.
Chris got Junior Magazine, the winners of the Party, on the phone. Atomic Kitten and Will Young will be singing. Noel Gallagher, Jon Culshaw and Mark Owen will also be joining in the fun. That fun will be written down here by me, as I have taken the day off. She wanted some Guinness but Dave said that there won be any.
