So Dave and Aled hit the big time today then, as they both got the coveted opportunity to present a slot on chase-it.tv. I (along with many others I suspect) tuned in to channel 666 for the first time at about ten to two, to be greeted with Jim *pop a doodle do* Brooman selling some random piece of tat. After the ads at 2 though, Comedy Dave appeared on camera on his own to reveal what was being given away. He was on for about two minutes and did rather well considering the fact that he was just discussing a mug, although he did appear very nervous and at times broke off mid sentence for a pause (possible talkback problems?). He did the old “if you’re like me” analogy and showed off the mug signatures to a close up camera correctly (not Chris’s though for some reason). At one point it even got highly technical as the screen split and a”Product Features” graphic came up, explaining that these were not for sale in the shops, came with a certificate and were one of a limited number made. Here is a screen shot of this (thanks to LastChanc from the messageboard for hosting):

As the countdown clock ticked down, Dave rounded up his introduction and uttered the immortal line “the thrill is in the chase”. Some graphics for Mastercard or the like then came up for 20 seconds, with Aled following next on camera on his own for the big shabang - the chase...which lasted for about five seconds. Everyone had a real #key moment on £15, and all mugs were sold within five seconds. Aled looked devastated to have had his moment in the limelight cut abruptly short, but tried his best to look delighted. Some more graphics followed and then Dave joined Aled back on screen:

Following a quick round up their slot was done and Jim Brooman re appeared on screen a moment later trying to sell me some kettle or cheap fruit bowl. To view it all in Real One Player (thanks to Radio One Online) just click here.
