Chris this morning like everyone else at Radio 1 and the rest of the world were feeling stunned and shocked and they all expected John to just walk through the door. Chris' tribute to John involved playing songs he would really like but also ones that he hated. Chris also wanted to keep the show lively still while still respecting John. After the news Chris and Dave were just explaining how its so strange the feeling in the building. Some people also texted in telling them to get over it. Chris then tried to explain to them how he was a member of the family at Radio 1 and effectively telling them to screw themselves simply because they don't understand the significance of John.. After Chris' rightfull outburst the texts started coming in about John's stories.
A tribute to John was played after the News.
Buzz <strike>Off</strike> On
Today Chris decided to treat us all to I'm The Walrus by The Beatles in tribute of John as he was the first person to play the record.

Dave didn't buzz, Rachel didn't buzz andAled didn't buzz.

Text Messages once again came flooding in with BUZZ ON written on them and the song itself was not interrupted once during its play. John Peel was the Egg Man! According to one texter.

Wind Talk

Chris, Dave and Dom had a quick conversation about how you could tell that wind was heavy. What is it measured in? They came to the conclusion of MPH and Notts. Be it Land Wind or Sea Wind. Mr Peels stories now followed which includes Lizzie setting John's coat alight which to extinguish meant having to spit wine all over it. Which can be heard here

When Aled Met Geri

Aled went to see Geri yesterday to try and discover her new feelings for Chris. The clip was not played today due to obvious reasons. Instead it will be played tomorrow after 8:30. From what Aled said it appeared to be rather complimentary and she now has two dogs the new one having an LA Accent. Aled didn't want to reveal too much as we will hear the clip tomorrow.

Chris revealed that Destiny's Child will be appearing on the show next week. Which led to a more few jokes about what happened last Thursday. Dave: They have lovely Thighs (chuckle). Also Carol Vorderman will be appearing on the show tomorrow. Chris not long ago said she was a Hot Momma which Chris hastily denied however Aled hit back and Chris admitted it. This then led onto a conversation about Dave's Maths skills which from history such as the second round of Dog or Person have never been up to scratch. Maybe Dave could be taught some Maths skills from Carol however the team pointed out it would take far too long. Chris then set Dave off on his magical maths journey with setting him countdown style questions where they have to reach a certain three digit number by only using five certain numbers. Dave got the first one in fourteen seconds but that was cause it was pee easy this was just a teaser for Dave who then got presented with a harder one which was 3 12 44 50 and target of 372 Dave got nowhere near what Chris and Rachel got. Chris was only 3 off subject to Dave's objection of that he used a calculator.

Chris then sent Dave off on a question which in Chris' words would "blow his brain".

1111

X 1111
1234321

Dave was set off to do this during Natasha Beddingfield's and came back with one million something. Dave used the Long Multiplication theory or more his multiplication theory. Chris then set him off with 10 x 10 and for him to do it through long multiplication. This he found quite difficult. They both then had a conversation about carrying. Chris in the end started teaching Dave how to do Long Multiplication and then set him off on another one of his Maths Magical Journeys and told he had till the end of Newsbeat. Dave came back after the news with the countdown clock which Dave had to stop. We then learnt that Dave got his Maths GCSE however had to attend summer school to achieve it and failed twice where Chris had the idea that he has a new form of Dyslexia. Chris then went over to help Dave again with his multiplication woes. Dave came up with the idea that it was around a million which is correct but cheated by doing a 1000 x 1000. Dave still thought it was a hard one and Rachel was trying to hurry it along so asked Chris to show him on the calculator on his phone. Dave didn't manage to type it in on the phone either so Chris did it. Dave was poised and ready and was simply shocked and it just confused him even more.

John Peel

This was another time to reminisce about the legendary John Peel. Chris decided to tell us the story about John pinching Chris' arse and how Chris got to know him a lot better as they didn't like each other at first. Chris also had a regret about not attending John's 65th birthday party. Chris was shocked that he had received an invite from him but felt he didn't know him well enough however Chris really did wish he went now.

Tedious Link
Today Dave had to get from Kim Sims – Too Blind To See It to
The Smiths – This Charming Man

Played Especially For John Peel.

Seamless? - Shockingly it seemed to have been and in Dave's words one of his first.

Half Time

No lets get ready to ramble but straight into Half Tine due to John of course. This was a time to play some of John's Clips which originally came from Chris' show jingles. All of these can be accessed fromchrismoyles.net. After a couple of songs there were some more clips from John which can one again be accessed from this site.

Hart to Hart

Chris and the team started reminiscing about Hart to Hart and started to do impressions and naming the dog in it. Chris then set off Aled to get the Theme Tune for it in Chris' office office. Chris used to listen to it every night
because it sounded soooo good. It was the download chart tonight as well and Chris hoped that he had beaten Bono. To an interesting conversation after the news to whether Matthew Kelly hurts the contestants when he hugs them by squeezing them to tight (could cause bruising). Out of Eric Prydz with Dave's
display to Aled on what goes on in the video itself.

Chris managed to find the theme tune for Hart to Hart off the net and played it all through once with him commenting on it and another time clean. Interesting how close the puffin was to the start of Hart to Hart. Both Dom and
Dave were playing Air Whacka Whacka Guitar and the air Bongo Drums.

The team finished off the show with a montage of clips all about John Peel and a small tribute to him which finished off with clock pips into another song to take us through to Jo Whiley.
