Nemone is officially crazy, according to Chris anyway. She has a massive light that she has on to make it feel like daytime during her early breakfast slot - thus her and Dave (not Comedy Dave, someone called Dave who works on her show…I think anyway) look like a couple of hippies. Chris isn't too fond of the light though: -
Chris: I went in to see them this morning and told them to 'get it off', so Dave started to take his clothes off
Crazy Nemone will be meeting up again with Chris and the team again during the weekend, along with Scott Mills and Chappers. Unfortunately at such an early stage in the show we can't be told much more, as it's a top-secret announcement and it's being saved for the prime time hour. Dave "I can keep a secret - honest" Vitty, hasn't even spoiled it yet, which comes as a surprise to the team. Rachel has said that they aren't going to tell Dave anything during the Red Nose Rally for fear that he'll just spoil it. Dave, though, insists he's good at keeping secrets now. Too right he hasn't made a slip up since he gave away the ending to Will Smith's new film a couple of weeks ago, and that was two weeks ago. Surely a new record.
Chris & Co's Trucking Convoys
Hey there plug fans. Have you been bored ever since Chris stopped plugging the Sport Relief text number every link back last July? Fear not, as now there is a solution to fill your plugging void. This time it's for Comic Relief (like Sport Relief, but with comedians instead - see what they did there?) and Chris and Co are doing the Red Nose Rally, which starts tomorrow - basically driving the length of the country in famous cars if you still haven't heard.
Although the team are excited, they have hit a snag with tomorrow's portion of the rally. They start off doing the show in Inverness tomorrow morning - then to start off the event properly they must drive (or fly if the weather conditions are up to it) up to John O Groats. Then they will drive all the way back to Inverness, where will end the first day of the rally, which has cheesed Chris off somewhat. The obvious solution though, is for Chris to get in the 'back to the future' car and finish before he's even started.
So, the big announcement then. If you're in Glasgow on Saturday then Chris and the rest of Radio 1 are throwing a special Pub Quiz, with an aftershow party featuring Scott "Double Decks" Mills. I won't put it down, as it is for charity - so as long as they don't broadcast it it's ok with me. If you can though, do get down to the Queen Margaret Union, as I'm sure actually joining in the quiz is better than listening to it on the radio.
So the team don't get bored on the rally, Chris will be taking a few DVDs, such as the third season of 24 and Star Wars. Dave, as regular listeners will know, isn't a big fan of things set in space. Rachel has the answer though, as the other day a Thomas the Tank Engine DVD was sent through. Dave wasn't best pleased though, as he isn't some kind of juvenile.
Fame Academy and other stuff on today's show
More Comic Relief related madness in the shape of Fame Academy with celebrities. Personally I haven't seen it, so bare with me if I get anyone's name or events wrong. Most of the team saw some of it, even Rachel, who saw two of the most important contestants (as far as this show is concerened anyway)
Rachel: I saw John and Edith properly, and the rest I saw with the sound off
Chris: Probably the best way to see it
After taking the mick out of Patrick "tree with arms" Kielty and Cat "Not a stick in a dress" Deeley, we were treated to some of last night's performances. Edith sang 'Shout' by Lulu - which was performed quite well I must say for a celeb version. Chris didn't like Edith's dress though, despite Rachel thinking it was quite nice.
Chris: Come on now Rachel, take a look at you then take a look at me. It's clear that I know more about fashion than you
Soon followed that day's obligatory text vote, with Chris asking people to text in if they agreed with him. In a shock result some agreed and some didn't. Next up was Jon Culshaw, who in contrast to Edith looked "great in his dress". He sang 'I guess that's why the call it the Blues' - again, in my humble opinion, it wasn't half bad and according to Chris it was much better than his performance on Saturday. Other "highlights" included some random guy from Casualty singing way out of tune, and one of the judges concluding that he performed "mesmerically". That wasn't as hilarious as Konnie Huq from Blue Peter singing extremely badly - who the team think should be kept in because of the sheer hilarity of the awfulness, and on the standard I heard this morning, I can't say I disagree.
After the 8:30 news, there was more Fame academy chat - this time Chris just couldn't understand the theme tune for the show. If you haven't heard it, it talks about "never stop reaching", presumably for your dreams. Chris thought it would best suit a rock climbing show rather than a talent competition. Dom had other ideas though: -
Dom: Some could argue though, that with the quality of the singing on the show so far it should be never stop retching

Whattity What
The 'award winning' (probably Worst Radio Quiz of the decade) quiz returned as usual for a Thursday. Melissa from Derby took on someone else who I can't remember the name of as I zoned out and could be bothered to rewind the audio (Professional to the end, that's me). Melissa didn't get through, but the other one did and won the traditional "great prize".
Tedious Link
Lenny Kravitz - It Ain't Over 'Til It's Over, Lenny Kravitz has long hair and tattoos and in that respect has something in common with Slash from Guns 'n' Roses, Slash from Guns 'n' Roses keeps snakes, Snakes can be dangerous if they bite you and give you their deadly venom - Venom is a 5-letter 'v-word', much like vegan - Vegans don't eat meat, chicken and fish and stuff, but don't eat cheese, butter or marge - Marge is married to Homer Simpson, who shares the same last name as John Simpson, a famous BBC reporter who goes to all sorts of places that are fraught with danger - Danger in Germany is "Achtung" - 'Achtung Baby' was a famous album from U2 - The lead singer of U2 is Bono, who were are good mates with now and recently invited us to see him, Larry, The Edge and Adam Clayton - Adam Clayton used to go out with Naomi Campbell who has a reputation for being a bit stroppy, as does Whitney Huston - Whitney Huston had a 1991 hit with 'My Name Is Not Susan' - other famous titles to feature 'Susan' include the Madonna film 'Desperately Seeking Susan' which featured Madonna's 'Crazy For You', which links us to Madonna and 'Crazy For You'
