The show started of with a little piece from the “Back to the Future” soundtrack,(to celebrate how much they’ve raised). Today Chris and the gang were back in the London studios with Dom and Carrie, Back in full high quality sound. Although the first hour was still plugging the Comic Relief text number. By Sunday morning they had raised £583,200.
-
Chris: “Its nice to see Nemone with her clothes back on. More importantly it’s nice to see Colin Curry with his clothes back on”
-
By 10 to 8 the total raised was over £600,000 followed by Dave getting mixed up if Chris meant the money raised or the text messages received (due to his poor maths skills). After the 8:00 pips the total raised this morning was £24,000 Making a grand total over the last week of over £607,000. Now the show got back to normal (yay!).
-
The final truck of luck prize went to … Jane Morgan, from St. Asaph. She was very pleased with winning (mostly the car). 1820 miles was the distance travelled during the red nose rally.
After this the content of the show got considerably better
-
Followed in the show was Chris talking about his red nose day appearance, and fame academy. There was also chat about the tour bus that they were on, including the bus driver calling Rachel mum, the toy cow, and Dave’s dirty flat.
Lets Get Ready To RAMBLE!
Today’s ramble started with the backfiring from tedious link, talking about Radio head, debate about the Jo Whiley, and Dave looses it.
-
About 9:25 Aled went to play a third record, This lead to a discussion about the only reasons they have ever played three in a row, these were, taking a big dump, and technical reasons (that famous time when Chris spilt water on the desk causing the microphone to stop working). This eventually lead to a discussion on (is this the way to) Amarillo. Just before the news Chris explained more about the madness on the tour bus, including Rachel trying to get to sleep (talking about um-bongo), and Chris calling on the phone(singing the sunset stripper’s song) Rachel while she is trying to get some kip.
-
Followed was by far the highlight of the show, Dom tries to sing Amarillo (but gets the intro timing wrong), then Aled (tries to) sing the very same song, with hilarious consequences, not able to hit the vocal, getting the words wrong, among many others. Definitely something to go on the Sony gold tape.
