Back in old damp, dull and breaking minidisc Blighty, Chris and the team have returned from their holiday (AAAARRRGH IT WAS WORK, NOT A HOLIDAY GODDAMMIT) . Chris was escorted onto the plane so it looked like he was a proper celebrity. Chris thanks the Virgin Crew naming Camila, Lisa and Jade. Atomic Kitten have been confirmed to appear on Thursday and will be singing. Chris asks why he was not told. Old listeners will recall their imfamous appearance on the Saturday Moyles Show where Chris still recalls it as his worst interview ever. This was because they talked all at once and they werent saying the same thing. This was way back in December 1999 for the release of their debut single, Right Now. They obviously were not familiar with interviews and Chris the next 2 years slagged them off. Lets hope this one is better. They will be singing their new single Its OK in the live lounge.
Lizzie is now Madonna-like circa 1990 whereby she has an earpice and a mic instead of having to pick up the reciever. Sara Cox and Tim Westwood will be interviewing Eminem on Friday. A comic partnership if ever he saw one. Chris asks why Jo Whiley didnt get the gig. Will reminds him that Jo is terrified of flying. That doesnt explain how come Jo Harland, Whileys producer, gets going on the trip.
Chris plays PART TWO of the Noel Gallagher interview. Chris asks him what he thinks of the tracks appearing on the net. Noel doesnt really care and says its already been reviewed in the papers. When they play the tracks live, they can spot the ones who have downloaded it as they know all the words. The people who have downloaded them seem to be telling other people that the tracks are good and he cant see it affecting the cd sales once it is released. Liam has written 3 songs on the album. Noel says that he checks them beforehand and says that if he sees if hes nicked anything, he could sue him for a laugh. The one people are talking about most is the Liam track entitled Songbird. Liam was in the bar at 7am that morning of the interview and was ranting for 5 hours constantly on the bus. He was still ranting once he was off and in the hotel lobby. Noel says they older and wiser and this new album, Heathen Chemistry, is a more positive record as Standing On... was more reflective, you could tell from the titles like Where Did It All Go Wrong.
Chris asks about people making comparisons to Definitely Maybe. Noel says they have stopped using dubs and crap like that because they were a bugger to pull off live. None of the tracks on the last two albums he liked playing live because the studio production was overdone. This time they are stripped down to what they do best.
Whilst the team were out in the good old USA, they filmed a video diary. You can view the video on the Moyles Minisite on RADIO 1 ONLINE. I expect you would need the current version of Realplayer to view.
Chris comments on the stories that happened whilst they were away. Bryan McFadden is first on the agenda and Chris talks about how the stripper/dancer was an absolute minger and made Kerry look good. I think Chris was a bit harsh on Kerry. Kylie is single! This put Moyles in the mood for his good old hunk a hunk a burnin' love baby. All talk ad no action, Chris. He thinks Kylie could teach him a trick or two. He says that it looks like Emma Bunton looks to have got back with Jade from Damage (are they still going, if they are they should add on the word Limitation to their name). Dave reminds him of how he wooed her (!). Chris has got himself a cleaner. Well Daves cleaner to be precise. They talk about how much she gets paid and finds out that shes pulled a fast one because she is charging for more than what Dave pays for her. Will wont be in the studio on Friday as he doesnt know where he will be. Yes, Mr Kinder is vague again. He mentions Radio 1 football team but im unsure as to whether he was taking the piss or not.
