Chris talked about Australians most popular pin up girl Jamie West. Yes Ive no idea who she is either. Anyway, Australians are calling her the new Holly Valance, though you cant say Holly is exactly new, shes only been on the scene for about 4 months. Jamie has released a cover of the T Rex classic Ride A White Swan. Imagine Blown Out with a really annoying woman singing.
Talent Trawl 2002 returned today and we were greeted with a person who could mimic a chicken, a man who could cry like a baby, a man who could make a fire alarm sound effect using his neck and a girl who claimed to talk very quickly but was rubbish. Daniel Webster won with his impression of a Fire Alarm.

Chris - I missed the first bit of Frank Skinner with Rhona Cameron on it but I saw the most important part for me which was... Geri Halliwell. I was quite surprised by Frank Skinner. He seems to be getting too nice in his old age but he was kind of saying all the right things to her and saying things like You like being famous, dont you but I was shocked as to how nice he was to her, ive got to admit. I didnt think he would be horrible to her but I just thought shes a gobby cow who loves herself as far as im concerned and I just dont believe anything she says. I tell you last night it was the best interview ive seen of her but still there was stuff in there that I just dont believe her. Id love to go down to the boozer with her and get drunk because Id love to see the real Geri Halliwell. Id like to strip her bare... but thats another link completely to be honest.
Dave - There was one point where he started asking her because shes doing this popstars thing and shes a judge on that and he said to her If you were auditioning now do you think that you would make it into this band and she goes Im not sure, I dont think I would get in straight away. The answer love is NO because they are looking for talented people with the very best in the country. The answer is No you wouldnt get into it but she was so kind of big headed still that she couldnt say that.
Chris - He also asked her about giving it all up and she goes You know I was on stage in front of 45,000 people and I get to meet all these great people and everything and shes right. Shes probably got a great life and the fact she appreciates it is brillant. I think she should milk it for as long as possible. I dont have a problem with that. The only thing I do have a slight problem over is that im not 100% sure what she does because shes released what about 4 records and she was going on last night about keeping the singing career going. What singing career. Seriously does she have a singing career?
Dave - Well she hasnt for at least 12 months anyway
Chris - Shes famous for being Geri Halliwell. I wouldnt say shes famous for being a great singer. Now, dont get me wrong, shes made some decent pop records but shes going into the realms of personality now rather than being known for having a skill.
Dave - But shes keeping her profile and personality high by releasing books about herself.
Chris - All of this is going through my head last night and im thinking to myself Are you a phoney and I think shes very lonely and she craves attention. Id put her in the same category as Tara Palmer. I think thats its very sad but the only way to get out of it is to fuel it and its an ever decreasing slope and what bugs me through the whole thing is while im watching this im thinking Are you lonely, how much are you playing up to the cameras, Will we ever see the real side of you?. I text you and Will and said Shes full of it, aint she and Dave replied with Yup and all this and someone else replied with Why is she trying to sound posh and I think shes getting more sincere in her old age to be fair but all of these comments from Will,Soph and Dave but I have to say the best comment about Geri Halliwell that I heard from last nights Frank Skinner interview was the one Will sent me which went Yes Chris, but she does have lovely knockers. I think that sums it all up doesnt it.
Dave - He sees good in all
Chris - Well he sees knockers in all women, even Lizzie. you know Superman had XRay vision, hes got Knocker Vision. He can see them on the flatchested of women.
