11am on Tuesday of course saw The Big Radio 1 Race at South London’s Battersea Park Athletics Track. Aled (pictured looking happy above) was representing The Moyles Show, dressed in all the athletics gear bought for him by Jo Whiley on Monday. His fellow competitors were DJ Spoony, professional runner/potential Greek Olympiad Nemone and the big boss Parf Daddy. Colin Murray and Chappers pulled out through “injury”, meaning Aled only had to avoid finishing last to make the podium.

Comedy Dave linked up live with Jo Whiley at 11 to provide commentary on the big race, with an annoying time delay between Jo in London and Dave in erm, London. Dave started off the runners with his megahorn and invisible whistle (giving an obvious disadvantage to Nemone down on her blocks - who was expecting a whistle). Aled took an early lead but was soon overtaken by Spoony, who charged on to victory. Nemone was second and that left third place up for grabs between Aled and Parf Daddy. Somehow Aled managed to falter when approaching the line though and ended up finishing last.
