Review

Chris opens the show by telling us that after clearing his cold during his holidays, he has picked it up again after only being back one day. Dave agrees, stating that it's "sick building syndrome". Admitting that he's not an "expirenced medical doctor", Chris goes on to tell us that drink is the best cure. Whether it's a headace, cold, flu, hotflushes or dizzy spells. He even used it to help when he had a broken leg, it only took 4 months to heal. "there the facts my love" he says.

After Kasabian we're told the they are playing Radio One's Big Weekend, but not to tell anyone. A sarcastic comment due to the fact all day on radio one we are being told who is playing Radio One's Big Weekend, and frankly I couldn't really care less.

After the news we learn that Dominic has a "flicky right eye", while Chris has a "flicky left eye".

Sony Radio Awards

After having no mention of the Sony awards on Mondays show, we thought thet they might not care. But that's not the case. Time to launch new "audio imaging" relating to the Sony awards.

This is a special message to the radio award judges,
You've overlooked our show again, but we never hold grudges,
Listeners enjoy the show, and we're all doing fine,
So stick your stupid awards where the sun don't shine.

Chris also as a rant about being nominated for nothing, even though they have added over a million listeners, and being one of the most talked about radio shows in the last 10 years. Dave wants to think that they're "beyond the boundries of normal radio recognition", or as Chris sees it, "officially hated by the rest of the radio industry".

Commenting on Jamie Theakston, Chris tells us it was his first day on the air in London yesterday and that Jamie got slated in the London papers. With this in mind, Chris congratulates Jamie as he will no doubt get a Sony nomination next year.

Chris has however been voted figurehead of the year in another poll, beating the Radio 2 boss, and the boss for the whole of BBC Radio. Chris can't understand why he was voted figurehead of the year, but didn't get a Sony nomination.

They now want to start their own awards, where the team chooses the winners. Chris gives the award for best breakfast radio producer to Rachel, while Rachel gives the award for best breakfast presenter to Chris. Best writer of breakfast radio comedy however, goes to the Jamie Theakston show. Dave got the silver.

The Drive to Leeds

Chris drove to Leeeds on Thursday to see his folks. He broke down on the M1. As he was driving up the road on the outside lane near Sheffield, all the power in his car goes. He managed to get on the hard shoulder, but everything was still dead. "There are two facts due to the car breaking down" Chris says. Chris took the car the garage to be fixed, and they did indeed fix it. The first fault was a simple fault, yet quite a major one. Chris ran out of petrol. "But it wasn't my fault" Chris explains. Turns out Chris' fuel level indicators were bust, so it didn't give an accurate indication of the fact there was no petrol in the car. £330 it cost to fix.

6 hours and 45 minutes it took him to get from London to Leeds, only 15 minutes less than the trip back from Miami.

The Radio 1 Music Machine

Apparently the new Radio 1 Music Machine will keep us up to date on all the festivals and gigs.
Chris reckons he must still be in some sort of dream after hearing the trail.

You can download the music machine yourself by clicking here. Basically its just like Mini-Moyles. It has also replaced Mini-Moyles on the front page.

New audio imaging about Chris and the team presenting Top Of The Pops this Friday at 7.30 on BBC 2. To be fair, not the strongest jingle I've ever heard.

We're gonna be on telly, we'll be on Top Of The Pops,
That's all of us on tv, on Top Of The Pops,
So please make sure your watching, when we do Top Of The Pops,
Cause after we have done it, they'll probably take it off.

24

Before 8, Aled is on the phone from LA, telling us about his visit with the competition winner Emma to the set of 24. The set is in the middle of no where, and inside the building is the whole of 24.

They met all the people Aled has seen on the 24 DVD extras like the producers, he also got on the CTU set. Chris calls Aled a "jammy git".

If you watch the current season of 24, you might be interested to know that the "video phones" at all the CTU desks are actually real, and do work.

The makers of 24 also made CTU passes for Aled and co. They also met Keifer Sutherland who supposidly asked to speak to Aled. Apparently Keifer listens to Radio 1 as he has his own record label with a few bands and knows the importance of new music and Radio 1. Dave asks if Keifer is coming to Sunderland for One Big Weekend, Aled doesn't think he is, but he will have to cue up for tickets.

But there is actually some big news... All 3 of the people visiting are in three scenes in a 24 episode. Chris can't believe this has happend. If you see Aleds face in this episode, Aled is mouthing that you should all listen to the Chris Moyles show. Aled could say this safely as the mics wouldn't pick it up. We should see this episode in about 11 weeks.

For all fans of Dominic, if you text 81199 starting your message with the word "news" during the show, they will appear on Dominics screen in his own little area next door to the studio.

Chris couldn't believe the ammount of under arm hair Dave has. When on holiday both Chris and his girlfriend couldn't take him seriously while speaking to him. Chris reckons Dave looks like a German woman! According to Chris, Dave's wife is exactly the same. Dave tells comments that "she is not German" to which Rachel tells Dave that he can't say that. Chris says to Rachel that no one is going to complain if he slags of the Germans.

Rob DJ's Monday Night Pub Quiz

Not really sure why this feature still exsists as it seems to be a little tedious now, however, for all quiz fans, here are todays quiz questions:

1. The common viper is also known as what? (Chris reckons it's a bar)
2. Which rapper was born as Robert Van Winkel in 1968? (Chris hums MC Hammer - Can't Touch This)
3. In which country did Judo originate? (Chris mutters Germany)
4. What is a Hombre in Spannish? (Chris thinks a Spannish Honda)
5. Who is the leading goal scorer in the Premiership with 25 goals?

Answers at the bottom of this review...

By the way, Rob DJ has had a house extension and added about a third to his house. It's huge!

Rammmmmmble
