Am I the only one who thinks Dorothy is an excessively strange name for a male? Unless it's a pet nickname or something... :? - jc

I Don't call him Dorothy! It just came out on air after someone on here typed "oh I thought you were a friend of Dorothy's" so I thought it would be quite funny on air when Chris asked me who I was going with to say.. my friend Dorothy.

More Bad News

BBC1's share of audience plummeted from 30% to 18% when the regional news ended at 7pm and the doors of Fame Academy were flung open.

The talent show attracted just 3.5 million viewers, only 200,000 viewers above its lowest ever figures, recorded on October 24.

As soon as the pop star wannabes finished warbling their way towards fame and fortune the audience rocketed to a 54% share - 11.2 million people as viewers tuned in to see Sam make a stand against Dave in EastEnders.

Meanwhile Live with Chris Moyles on Channel 5 is still struggling for an audience, drawing just 300,000 people at 7pm.

Would it make any difference if I left the TV on in my room and watched it downstairs? Every little helps and all that...maybe not.

Aled - do you get embarressed when Chris gets you to do thing s like yell "the crisps are out of date" and run out of a shop? Whats the most embarressing thing he's had you do so far?

I stuck this thread for a reason. That is to ask Aled a question and not to massage your ego Staticfish. You can gloat to yourself but dont waste it by putting up page wasting threads.

I notice you didn't come on here and mention that Fame Academy had it's highest ever ratings on Friday! 6.2million! That's 600,000 away from the Popstars figure. Don't be biased UB give a balanced picture!

The Tuesday and Thursday programmes are a problem as a) the format doesn't quite work and b) the scheduling's bad - I've said that from day 1 though.

Thursday's are particularly bad (which is the ratings you refer to) because BBC2 has Buffy or StarTrek. So the BBC takes viewers from itself.

BTW Watch this space for a major Fame Academy event happening on the show next week!!!

p.p.s Your reviews wrong. Lizzie didn't win Big Blubber 2. No-one did. Scott cancelled it this week due to bad whether - Lizzie's told us she's never coming out training again.

Plus only 3 SClub's came on the show not 4. But then, I know you don't get to hear the show yourself anymore so you're excused.

Ha ha. it's for the show. And I enjoy doing things for the show, so it's not a problem - providing it's funny.

the most embarrassing thing was when I gave Kate the ring at the end of Big Brother 3. I didn't want to do it but I had to.

His name is Scott and he's a policeman in London. Chris has met him and he understands the Dorothy connection. I think he knows I talk on here. I've told him once or twice some of the opinions on the board - but I doubt he remembers.

Not as much as I'd like.

It's difficult as Chris has to get off for his TV show. That breaks things up and makes it difficult to meet up again. It's not like the old days where we could go round the corner for a drink after the show.

Of Course Chris understands the Dorothy reference. Being a "friend of Dorothy" is a well recognised slang term for being homosexual. So Aled was being clever when he reffered to going out with "His friend Dorothy" - you even heard Chris laugh at the time!
