BBC1's share of audience plummeted from 30% to 18% when the regional news ended at 7pm and the doors of Fame Academy were flung open.
The talent show attracted just 3.5 million viewers, only 200,000 viewers above its lowest ever figures, recorded on October 24.
As soon as the pop star wannabes finished warbling their way towards fame and fortune the audience rocketed to a 54% share - 11.2 million people as viewers tuned in to see Sam make a stand against Dave in EastEnders.
Meanwhile Live with Chris Moyles on Channel 5 is still struggling for an audience, drawing just 300,000 people at 7pm.
I notice you didn't come on here and mention that Fame Academy had it's highest ever ratings on Friday! 6.2million! That's 600,000 away from the Popstars figure. Don't be biased UB give a balanced picture!
The Tuesday and Thursday programmes are a problem as a) the format doesn't quite work and b) the scheduling's bad - I've said that from day 1 though.
Thursday's are particularly bad (which is the ratings you refer to) because BBC2 has Buffy or StarTrek. So the BBC takes viewers from itself.
BTW Watch this space for a major Fame Academy event happening on the show next week!!!
p.p.s Your reviews wrong. Lizzie didn't win Big Blubber 2. No-one did. Scott cancelled it this week due to bad whether - Lizzie's told us she's never coming out training again.
Plus only 3 SClub's came on the show not 4. But then, I know you don't get to hear the show yourself anymore so you're excused.
