Aled, why does the 6.30am news sometimes start at 6.30, and other times start at 6.27 (ending exactly on 6.30)?

Doesn't seem to follow any pattern.

There's a firm pattern. 6:26:15 when Chris is on time, 6:30 when he needs another 5 mins.

Why doesn't Chris use the Cheesy Outro music anymore at the end of the first link? He uses the into news one (morning movie I think it's called) instead now.

Also, on that particular jingle, why doesn't Chris use other jingles anymore (like the jazzy ones of previous years)? Almost every link has the morning movie one and it's getting a bit old.

I check pretty much every other or every three days. I've been on internet forums and this one in particular for many many years so I've grown a pretty thick skin to opinions - saying that it's still possible to rattle my cage here Newer team members can get affected by comments on here quicker.

I personally believe that you guys are ahead of the curve - so you'll tire of things quicker than the general public - so I view this site as an early warning system

You've kinda answered your own question. Chris has started using the 'into news' instead.

As to the jingles - strangely the opposite is true. He's started using old jingles since we've come back in Jan. I'm not a particular fan - but Chris likes it. He uses Jazz and Retro and Swing etc

I don't want to doubt you Aled, but on this listening figures thing.. if they say 8 million people listen to the show, doesn't that mean that over the course of the week, 8 million people will tune in at various points? Just today you mentioned 8 million people listening and it only being a fraction of people who donated and hearing the speech about donating on all 3 days so far, as a listener, i honestly couldn't imagine only something like 1/300 people thinking 'oh, i'll text in' after hearing it.

PS When you text 241 for orange wednesdays, you don't have to put anything specific in the text, so today i just put 'Desert'. This amused me greatly.
