But I can't go into too much detail because we won't be able to confirm properly until the new Day Producer joins the show.

Strange question, but I can't find the answer anywhere else!

Remember on Wednesday's show where the team and Zane Lowe played the musical tastes game, Chris played a piece of music just after the news (I guess around 8:05am) when introducing Zane and I can't for the life of me remember what it is or where I've heard it it. I was convinced it was in the dark night but after a quick search I can't find it. Can anyone Shed some light on this? Or Aled! You were there, any chance you could find out?

Hi Aled

Can I ask whether there was another final figure for the amount raised for the Marathon show? I donated £10 online under Chris's name on the Friday night after the show had finished as it was my pay day. Assuming others did the same I wondered if there was another, larger final figure raised?

Hey Matt

What a coincidence! I heard only yesterday in passing that the figure had grown to over £2.8 Million. I haven't had that verified by Comic Relief so it's not fact but if I ever do - I'l post it on here.

Aled, we know that everyone loves the politics behind the scenes at the BBC, so what's the reasoning behind changing 'podcast' to 'free download'?

Firstly, I think its great that you take the time to log into this and answer questions. Thanks! I have a load of geeky questions but can I start by asking about Sam leaving. It all seemed quite sudden, and from what you said this morning ('She walked out on the show!), it seems like all wasn't happy. Anything you can tell us....?

It's not as sinister as it all appears I promise, and really it's between Chris and management so not really fair for me to comment on. Chris had a choice regarding his Twitter account, and he made a decision. There's no Radio 1 ban of Twitter or anything like that.

Lol, no not at all.

Sam gave Radio 1 something like 5 weeks notice, it was Chris' decision not to mention anything until the week of Sam leaving which is why it seemed abrupt.

Sam got an Executive Producer's job at 6 Music so OF COURSE she had to go and do it. Sam will remain one of my best friends within the BBC she's an amazing lady.

Freya has taken over as Day Producer today because Sam leaving meant there were Producer and then Assistant Producer jobs going so people had to apply for those before a decision could be made over who went to which job within Radio 1.

There is some strong BBC research that shows that 'podcasts' have hit a bit of a ceiling with number of people taking it up. That is even true for The Best of The Chris Moyles Show. Podcasts coincidentally came about the same time as iPods - and most people appear to associate a podcast with Apple. With digital content growing much broader than that into other phones and social media a 'free download' is felt to more accurately portray what it is.

The description of the delivery platform where you can still get them from doesn't change it's name - you still get them in the 'podcast' section on iTunes for example but for BBC website they'll be 'free downloads'.
