i hope you can answer this question,
if war is underway will radio 1 tone down the playlist a little? what i mean is say what happened on sept 11th,will radio 1 change the music in to more sombre music?
and do you think if war happens, that presenters like sara cox or chris moyles be serious?

It's a sliding scale of sensitivity. Music will be checked for war references at the moment. if the war goes badly or the British public start to be out of step with the mood of the station I'm sure things would change accordingly.

It was actaully an excellent BBC course. I was on the course with Lizzie and a couple of others doing advanced Studio and Producer training. Not really to teach us but to make sure we know all the detail and extra stuff. We had a fantastic time. A good laugh was had by all.

I think it was a BBC pamphlet about how to "open a door" or something. That was the tabloids blowing things out of context. A new revolving door and security procedures had been implemented at TV Centre and a few over cautious people decided to make a pamphlet on how to use the new system. That's all.

Oh by the way, Uglybob and anyone else who's interested.

The 81199 is a standard text cost - check your bill if you think the BBC's just not "man enough" to admit it. The BBC makes no money on the text. It'll cost you whatever it costs to send a text to a friend.

yeah because when I send a text to 81199 it doesn't cost me a thing.

I'm on a certain O2 tarrif that gives me 300 free texts a month providing I top up at least £10 a month... which suits me fine! And as 81199 is only the cost of a normal text message, I get it for free!

And when I say top up at least £10 a month - your supposed to do that but I have gone 3 months without topping up - it just means I have to make the 300 text messages last over 3 months rather than 1 month.

It might be more to the point that he doesn't know the name as 99.9% of the time he's known as "Gaztop" not Gareth Jones! What a weird question anyway!
