Was pugwaLL the Aussie programme about a kid trying to form a band & was on Channel 4 about 7 years ago???

what the hell do you mean trying to form a band - the orange organics were a proper band who whose hard efforts (just to keep marmaloid in line was hard enough) were awarded by a record contract from mushroom records.

1'Boot Camp' on Sky One was good for a while.
2 I'm currently enjoying a CD entitled 'farmyard sound fx2 Pigs on fire'
3 All three. I'm partial to an ice cold tube of the amber fluid, and a few tokes on the old Golden Virginia on the weekend, but drugs don't agree with me. I took a puff on a joint at a party once and ended up trying to take my trousers off over my head.
[This message has been edited by CornishTw@ (edited 16 June 2001).]

What on earth - a man who looks like Adrian Mole dressed in a bad, 80s style purple tracksuit pretending to be an alien. The series started with a kids mum changing a lightbulb, the lightbulb lit up unexpectedly and she said "what on earth?". It turns out that the alien creature was inhabiting the lightbulb at the time and it thought its name was "What" (meaning he is on earth, as opposed to outer space). The kid finds him in his tracksuit and takes it upon himself to become his parent/carer - hiding it from everybody.
Thats all I remember - I watched it about 7 years ago, but I'm sure that was a repeat of its first broadcast in the 80s. Speaking of repeats - have you seen Maid Marian and Her Merry Men being repeated on CBBC - it used to be on CITV ages ago. Whats really bad, I think, is that they are passing it off as a new series - they even interviewed Hugh Grant look-a-like who plays the lead male a couple of weeks ago. I bet he was glad of the work - it not being panto season and all.
the_dr
