What was better. I had both but have to say the good old 64 kicked the beepy spectrum's ass. The time I spent waiting for a colourful but blocky 64 game to load was made easier by some games having loading music. Could the spectrum do this? No I don't think so.
Top games on the 64- Hawkeye, Delta, Head over Heels, Thundercats, Wizball, Parallax, IK+.
Ahhhhhh memories, aahhhhhhhh BISTO.

No the Spectrum was THE best!! Can't remember many of the names of the games, I had loads of them, they were brilliant -Ghostbusters I remember was amazing though.
Did anyone ever have an epileptic fit because of the mad colours on the screen when a game was loading? Anyway, the 5-10mins it took to load simply built up the anticipation for a great game like Chase HQ - that was sooo good!! :)
I think the best thing about it was the Spectrum magazines you could get every month with a free cassette game on the front..which never worked..
Ah, memories, sweet fond memories..

I also had a spectrum 48k+ (hard keys, not the rubber ones). Then the king C=64, then an Atari ST (RIP), then an Amiga 500 (with extra 500k memory, woooo). Also had a sega master system, which was kinda cool, but ultimately pants. Out of all of these the old 64 was and still is the best. Obviously I have loads of the olden days games on my hard disk running on a 64 emulator. Oh yeah, another cool game was Last Ninja.
[This message has been edited by winker (edited 17 June 2001).]

I shamefully admit to owning an Amiga CD-32, and I paid £300 quid for it!! Doh. It was super shi.te. On the Amiga, Shadow of the Beast and Super Hang-On were brill.
On the daddy; C=64,Turrican, Salamander and any System 3 or Thalamus game were corkingly (TM 1987-1992 Beano/Dandy comics) good.
Tit clamps.
[This message has been edited by winker (edited 18 June 2001).]
