In less than 100 words, please explain why you hate/detest/abhore/want bad things to happen to Sara Cox and her sycophant Sazzle.
I'll start it off by saying just cos she's engaged to an average dance DJ DOESN'T mean she is also a dance DJ. Poxy Coxy.
[This message has been edited by winker (edited 07 July 2001).]

Sara Willies is an amateurish, unfunny, untalented local radio dj, who by some strange twist of fate (and she knows it) has landed the top job at 1FM. Go back to the girlie show, you gibbering freak and get your cans out for a lads mag, now!
the_dr

that's the name of the dj i listen to in the mornings - when he's on. that shows great, though i'm never awake enough to remember his name. thanks everlast :)
i once accidently left my radio tuned to radio 1 and woke up to sarah cox, a similar incident happened but when scott mills was on. my mind was ****ed up, from the annoyance suffered in the morning, for the rest of the day. they talk to much, they're to loud and stupid, and play the same crap records that i manage to happily put up with during the day with moyles. but if you like to be thoroughly woken up then i can appreciate you liking them.

[This message has been edited by Monkey (edited 08 July 2001).]

R1 wouldn't risk M&L on breakfast - the ratings bombed when they were on. As for XFM, I really can't wait until it goes nationwide - then there will be 2 decent radio stations.
the_dr

why does everyone think xfm is going to go national? It's not as simple as them simply saying that they want to do it so they're going to. They need a national licence to broadcast and there are only 3 of them around at the moment (virgin, talksport and classic). And don't you think that if capital (who own xfm) managed to get their hands on a national radio licence they might just broadcast the far more successful capital fm nationally instead of xfm which has about a 10th of capital's listeners? Just a thought

Hmmm... it's been a rumour going round. Heres my reasons for XFM going national:
1) If Capital went national, it would have SERIOUS competition from the local pop/dance radio stations
2) XFM would be directly competing against Radio 1 nationwide, and should realistically expect to steal 1/3 of its audience (3.5 million)
3) XFM could offer a unique experience for advertisers. XFM would be aimed at about 50% of the 15-30 year olds in the uk (who aren't too keen on dance music). There is only another media outlet that caters for this audience, which is Radio 1 (non-comercial) and NME (small audience). XFM could offer a very targeted audience, with lots of cash, to advertisers.
4) CAPITAL FM, not the best name in the world to market nationwide - might as well be London FM. XFM is far more marketable.
the_dr
