Someone posted this in the Radio 1 forum:
----------------
Dear Sir / Miss
RE : One Big Sunday (Radio 1 Road show)
I wish to inform you of my disgust at your choice of security and health and safety management at the event above.
I was in the 2nd row of people from the front barrier, trying to stop myself from falling over 2 girls who were sitting on the floor, not feeling well from the heat. People were pushing and shoving, and Radio 1 did nothing to help. One of the security personnel said “It';s a rock concert, you get that.” WRONG. This is a road show – either way, it is a health and safety risk, and measure should have been taken to stop that.
2nd, the security personnel decided to throw water into the crowds. A big, plastic bin full of water. Most of it hit me. And now, my watch, which was not waterproof, fails to function. I have replaced the battery, but still does not work. Many people complained at the water, because a few immature people called out “Chuck the bin!”
3rd – When looking around, I asked council staff to contact Radio 1 so I could complain to Radio 1 directly. Council reps had no idea. Radio 1 merchandising reps had no clue on how to contact them, and not even the security guards, who I presumed had been hired by Radio 1, had no contact with them. I am thoroughly disgusted at the lack of communication at the event.
I will no longer consider attending Radio 1 events, unless I have the Councils promise that more information, and more communication is in place in future. The event is asking to be stopped because of health and safety reasons.
I was not prepared to stay any longer at the event, seeing as I had been there since 8:30am, and it was becoming, in my opinion, too unsafe. I left at 12:30. I saw no bands, and no entertainment.

Hah! I heard OBS on the radio - wondered if you went. Mark B & Blade sounded good. Glad to see you didn't burn, unlike myself. We've now had reviews of 2 OBSs, maybe we could make this a regular feature! Or maybe not.
Also - Outkast at OBS Manchester beat 5ive on the swearing front, saying 'motherfcuker' several times.
the_dr

Sat and today are up
