I read Private Eye every fortnight, and bought the latest issue about a week ago. It had been lying around my room, unread, until today. To my suprise, who's name should I see in it? MINE!
"Okay, so he finds Daniel Sheldon, a teenage programmer in "working class" Oldham, to balance Jonathon from blue-collar New Jersey and Marcus from desert town California. Daniel set up a Harry Potter website which incurred the wrath of Warner Bros (who claimed it breached their internet rights). Now he wants to work for free and thinks everyone should do too. Peer to peer computing, he calls it.
But Shareware is nothing new, and neither for that matter is hippie commune-ism (all for one and one for nothing) of which this is only an electronic version. Nor will Sheldon be the first teenager wanting to change the world from his bedroom."
It wasn't too keen on the book as a whole - but I'm pretty pleased with what they said about me. Still gonna write to them correcting their mistakes. I've updated my site, to include articles in Private Eye, Guardian and Observer.
http://thedr.n3.net
the_dr
