Does anybody know how to register a website with the likes of Google and Yahoo?

be advised it takes up to 6 months for your website to appear on one of the searches and this is on most search engines

On google it only took them about 2 weeks to put my site on there! And now when "simon hollis" is put in my site is the first one that comes up

If u use gohot.co.uk hosting there is a superb prog that adds any url you want to a list of 30 major search engines at the touch of a button and you dont recieve any annoying emails. Im not advertising, lol, its only coz i use them and find them cool.

Yahoo and Google etc, use dmoz.com for submitting websites. This mean that if you submit to yahoo you will also find it in google and other search engines using dmoz etc.

You could also try a program called AdWeb - it submits your site details to literally thousands of search engines and lists - I use it to submit clients sites and it seems to work pretty well.
