Yeah Butcher ws class - Hussain played well too.
And great news.....Tuffers is back for the Oval test!!!!! If Thorpe/Vaughan/Hussain had been fit for all the tests I reckon the series mightn't have been so 1-sided.
But at least Gilchrist declared and made a game of it - he could have just closed out the match.

Last time (if I remember rightly) Tuffers played at the Oval he had a blinder. Then he gets jettisoned. Why?
Also Robert Croft (who can only spin the ball one way. Badly) is absolute she-ite. Ashley Giles keeps getting injured because he's got a nancy first name. Surely there's a decent leggie out there somewhere (DO NOT mention Salisbury. Useless choccy teapot bowler he is!)
With Thorpe, Vaughn and Hussain fit I agree we would have probably lost by a lesser degree. Atherton and Trescothick haven't really performed that well together. Trescothick suffers from Gower's old wave it about outside off stump and get out syndrome.
Brett Lee, Gillespie and McGrath being smacked all over the ground by Butcher was an absoloute sight to behold. PURE CLASS!
[This message has been edited by winker (edited 22 August 2001).]

I like Caddicks response. If you can't get 'em out bowl at their heads!
Afzaal is pants, but he has more promise than Ian Ward who couldn't even hold the bat straight!
I think Goughie and Caddick need a rocket up their asses as they seem to be going thru the motions. When Hoggard is back from injury he'll do some damage.
Tudor=big girl's blouse.
Best we can hope for this one is a draw.
[This message has been edited by winker (edited 23 August 2001).]
