It seems that in the last month, a fair number of the topics have just become stupid. Also in the last month or so the number of people having fights on the board have increased.

Whats happening?

I mean this place used to be a nice civilised (I know thats not how you spell it) place where we would come to speak about Moyles. I know we don't always speak about Moyles because face it with only messages about him the forum would be slightly dull.

No, seriously - I don't like text message speak. Call me old fashioned but why can't people use capital letters, puncuation and structure their messages into proper paragraphs!

When I write text messages, all of my friends use things like "how is u 2 day?" - I have to write "How are you today?".

I agree, text message abreviations are intensely annoying. Kids with mobile phones these days are being brought up into a illiterate culture. You can hardly walk 10 metres down a high street these days without seeing somthing written in this illiterate way and people seem to be accepting this as the norm. When it comes to computers, there is txt msg tlk is extremely unacceptable. All the keys are there, laid out in front of you. Is it really too much effort to press them?
Most mobiles these days have predictive text anyway, so there is no excuse. However, many cretins seem unable to grasp the concept and skill required to do even that.
Anyway, sorry for ranting on, just that someone hit a raw nerve.
