Fecking hell. I'm at a friends house so I'm not listening to Moyles atm, but I'm recording. It's been said before - but this is like something out of a film. I can't really believe it.

I agree. I expect they don't really feel like doing a usual show. I know I don't feel like posting any normal light - hearted messages.

Bloody hell!! :-/ This is the most sophisticated terroist attack i've ever seen. America is in chaos! Im glad Moyles saw it would be wrong to do the regular show.

Its really kinda shocking, they reckon up to 25,000 people could be dead in the world trade centre alone. It's good to hear that Moyles and Mark and Lard can actually "change their tone" and do serious shows.

This is just a fairy tale...

BBC are still reporting 4 missing planes, and bombs are being found across NY. London is on a high security risk. This is just so unbelieveable.

Well done to Moyles, although he didn't have a choice of what show to do, he did very well.

I don't really want to get into the knitty-gritty here, but the Baza and Dr are right - something out of a film - sophisticated terrorist attack.

There are going to be some conspiracy theories out of all this for sure but - one thing for sure if that USA have stopped these kinda attack many times before. Be it through the intelligence sector or even the last-minute. How did they not see this one coming?

Blackbox recorders will be interesting finding.

i've been sat watching the news since i got home. the videos i've seen over, and over. yes, they're stuck in my mind too. i've been to the twin towers, they really were massive and indeed did define the skyline of new york. despite the sombre tone, welcome back everlast. seems a long time since you've been here.

It is really sad, I can't believe. I'm trying to get in contact with the US at the moment as my girlfriend who is staying with me at the moment is american and her parent are over ther. All the phone lines are jammed. oh well keep trying. This is a tragedy and I hope they catch who is responsible. The latest I have heard on the death toll is that it will reach 50,000 in New York alone. It scares me to think I was standing next to the pentagon less than a month ago and now 800 people have been killed inside! What has shocked me is the Palestinian people that are celebrating. Death is never a course for celebration

yeah Monkey i was there in 1994 too. We went by foot and on tour-bus, where the tour-guide shown us the location where the bomb was placed by 'yousef' first time round. This will defintely test Bush amongst all other things as well.

I don't really want to think of how this happened and who did it. My thoughts are with the victims of this attack.

It's... you can't explain it.

I think one of the e-mails Radcliffe read out this afternoon describes the situation and the feelings best; "What can you say when there's nothing to say?"

that's right. but in respect to the arab's and palastenians celebrating. Remember the jubilation and joy in USA when we defeated the middle east (Guld War).

And Bin Ladan was himself trained by the CIA, who then funded him and many others to do 'their bit' in over-coming Russia.

The thing that shocked me about that was the little kids running about celebrating. How can anyone, espesally so young, have such malice in them?

not that i'm an islamic fundamentalist or anything, but those pictures of people celebrating for all we know could be anything. if you watch closely they loop the same 5-10 secs of film over and over, and as a palestinian spokeswoman said, it was filmed as news first filtered through, before the true nature of the attacks became apparent. also, most of the palestinians were children who don't know any better.

if i heard news that the pentagon had been disabled, but not how, then i'd certainly chuckle. the irony is quite obvious. also, i'm sure communists everywhere whould celebrate the world trade centre being disabled before they realised what really happened.

basically, those pictures of jerusalem or wherever it is are complete bullsh*t.

Tom - very good point - all this business between USA and these *suspected* terrorists is very complicated. We get the overall facts - there's much that goes on behind closed doors that we don't know or hear about, and will probably never get to know about.
