im not moaning. yes it was awful and all that but all this is depressing. no i dont want him to crack jokes about it but something a bit different maybe like a best of moyles interviews show or something instead to take our mind off things.

i know. moyles not being on has brought me down even more. although rightly so it would be a little disrespectful doing the usual stuff. xfm have done the best (as i've been saying since all this stuff started) . breakfast host, who's wicked normally anyway, chatting quite in depth and playing good music - was just what was called for. though moyles' style is not like his so he's done pretty much as i'd have expected.

>:(

THINK BEFORE YOU SAY SOMETHING.........

Okay in reply to the chap who was saying something about 50,000 people dead.

Well if you think about.... we shall see if its just under or over the intended estimated 50,000 that my message board friend said when everything is cleared up and sorted out.

I agree with everyone in this message board. Would you play fast, unreal songs when two major cities are on fire?? I know the likes of Coldplay and the Moby Song have been playing none stop. Do you expect the nations' top radios to go back to normal when there are people dead and under 100's of tons of crap, that can not be in to my mind... Radio One isn't some local radio station wanting to be big, its a (dare I say this) FRONT LINE radio station and over 5 million people were listening to Moyles at that time or stuck to the TV. Its a big job to tell the nation what is going on, after a hour that its happened. I'm sure Mr Moyles was shocked as well.

By the looks of things, Saturdays show will not be remember as much as it would if this never happened. Come on Guys... What is more important your freedom?, your lifes? your country? your allies? I don't think Radio Comedy is on our want list and this moment in time.

Cheer up Guys, Radio Chris Moyles will get back to normal soon :)

Adam

i know exactly what you mean, when i listen to the show i keep expecting him to tell a joke. however, i have been listening, and radio 1 have definitely NOT been playing just slow music, they've been playing their normal playlist so i don't know what everyone is on about.

bob's not being disrespectful at all, i think the question we should be asking is when do you think it will be back to normal. although the repurcusions of this will go on for ages, moyles' show can't stay like this that long. also do you think he will actually be able to fall straight back into his old character after being so frank this week?

I can't believe anyone would want to listen to 'Lard's classic cuts' or 'I fancy my boyfriend's brother' after they've seen people jumping out of windows 1000 feet in the air to their certain deaths.
And to think that Moyles was being low-key because Radio1 telled him to is ludicrous - he was quite obviously shocked and moved by this terrible occasion; as I hope any other decent person was.
I thought Moyles and Radcliffe have done really well over the last few days, and have shown that they are good broadcasters in there own right.
Also on Talksport; Richard Kaufman and Mike Parry were excellent - but James Whale was terrible; He started off his show sounding very uncaring, and then a few moronic callers started trying to connect this tragedy with all the 'illegal' immigrants in this country, and Whale was sort of agreeing with them, and then there was some ludicrous theories about Islamic extremeists smuggling in people to the UK with chemical weapons or some sh*t like that,I just switched off after that.
Tommy Boyd was equally disgusting the day after; he started off properly, but then when he started taking calls he did his usual weasel words and continued partaking in his usual 'game' of picking up a particular word a caller has said and then twisting it round. For God's sake this is no time for him to carry on with his usual outwitting of the callers; and it wasn't that they said anything particularily stupid,he just behaved like it was a normal phone-in - I'm totally disgusted, and I'll never listen to Whale or Boyd again.
I also find it rather ironic that Uglybob is so uncaring; considering he lives in one of the more f*cked up places on the planet: Northern Ireland.
One of his family could be murdered in a terrorist atrocity there any day.

M+L, i was waiting for the anti northern ireland jibes to start and i wasnt surprised to see you falling for it. where did i say i dont care. i do care but the media is painting a black mark over the whole world, we all have to move on and now is as good a time as any.

I hope this doesn't sound disrespecful but due to the fact I can't listen to M & L could anybody tell me how they handled the news when it first came in? And also how has Moyles been starting his shows, I assume not with the usual " Its -----, it's 3:00"

"hi i'm chris moyles. obviously we're not doing the usual show because of the events in america. i'll just be playing records and going to the news every fifteen minutes for updates."
