I tend to use 'hehe' or 'heh heh' when laughing over the net or text message. hehe being a more jokey laugh, and heh heh for more evil things.<br><br>LOL is getting rather repetative. Some one should come up with new phrases for the net, like we do in real life. Slang changing with the times and all. Maybe we should do that here, on the moylesboard. I'm not against LOLing, infact I use it quite a lot myself - but usually only in a chat situation. It doesn't feel right to use it on a message board, but maybe thats just me. I would usually use 'Very funny/amsuing (name)' on this board, and/or come up with something funny myself. I would use 'lol', 'lolololol', 'LOL' or 'LOLOLOLOL' if I was chatting and something amuses me - an instant recognition of hilarity. One thing I wouldnt do is have just a 'LOL' as a message... although somebody will probably go and find one of mine now <br><br>Also - try these:<br>ROFL = rolling on the floor laughing<br>LMAO = laughing my arse off

I find most internet abbreviatins irritating, but I don't like it when people criticize 'TXT' message spelling. People seem to think that this is psople being lazy,but when most text messages can only contain 160 characters it saves money to spell say 'some1' rather than 'someone'....I think so anyway.

What I mean is that if you're writing a longish text and it's,say, 183 letters long; you can turn it into under 160 letters with abbreviations...thus costing u 10p not 20p, I know it's not that important but it all adds up !!
