no album or anything deserves 10/10 - notably not ash surely? mind you, i should judge a book etc.<br><br>is should've bought daft punk. it just disturbs me that some people had never heard some of their old, perhaps harder/better songs. although i'd imagine this new album is much better as it is much more consistent. just seems too poppy for me.<br><br>like your rating of now49 bob any classics there(?)<br><br>

The Strokes have a good album - give it a go. I'm also interested to hear the White Stripes album which is on my download queue.<br><br>On another note, Radio 1 have playlisted The White Stripes, Slipknot and the Soft Parade. Seems they are broadening their horizons.

i find it interesting that the bbc playlists the strokes and the white stripes.  these are two groups that are overhyped in the indie/underground circles, but largely ignored by mainstream markets in the us.<br><br>and yes, we know you won slipknot and 4 other cds bob. ;D

You can get it on Audiogalaxy - a few weeks ago there were just 50 White Stripes mp3s on there - now there are over 1000 <br><br>And, to quote one of their songs<br>Slipknot = Shit
