did n e one here today a pre recorded link? He started the wrong minidisc player and ther he was back announcing J kayz new one. So that probably means he records those short in between record links. Sorry just a nerdy radio geek observation ;D

I haven't been listening - had he already done that, and played the same thing? Or was it just him announcing the wrong song?

He's been pre-recording the 4pm link for a few months - so he gets a 3 whole records worth of fag break!

I don't like cheese - therefore, does that means because I have a lack of cheese, that my dreams malfunction? Only last week did I dream of Anne Widecombe being asked a question on The Weakest Link.

I hardly ever remember my dreams. The last one I remember was about 6 weeks ago. For some reason me and about 5 friends were the last people on the planet. We were camping out in this freight truck watching over the local RAF base because we were certain that there were either aliens in it.

Paul.

My mate - Asa, technican to the satrs (and scott mills), says that most of the BBc's output is now prerecorded. All off Radio 3 is and most of Radios 4 and 5.

Prerecording, aaaah the chance would be a fine thing......

Lots of stuff is pre-recorded at radio 1. Stuff like (At least some of) the dreem teem shows (its done on Wednesday afternoons incase you were wondering) and Trevor Nelson's shows as well as some of the other more specialist stuff but most of the daytime stuff (Bar a few links ocassionally) is live 99% of the time.

Eddie

haven't they (radio organisations etc) put a restricting order on how many hours of pre-recorded link you can do on day-time radio? - something like 2 hours i think - don't quote me, i'm not entirely sure - just caught the back-end of a conversation at our uni radio station - so i'm not clear about whether it applies to uni (student) radio or commercial/national radio.

Enlighten me :)

Through my mate at Hosptial Radio, you can "bunnyhop" 9 ours of another station (in there case Virgin), and your allowed to broadcast 6 Hours of prerecord, I think.....

ha! Hospital Radio - our presenter is absolutely useless - i'll try and record a bit of him, because words can really not do it justice ;) and upload it somewhere. Don't you just love those people who are funny without them realising it (there's a word for that i know!)
