During the weekend and today i was slightly a bit peeved by television viewers. 500 people telephoned the switchboard complaining about Robbie Williams show for swearing.

After the 9pm watershed you are allowed to whatever you want. That is how the watershed works. So why did these people complain for? Because they got nothing else better to do with their lives than to ring up a telephone line and yap for all their worth. do you really think the bbc and for that matter the switchboard operators give a fudge. nope. Still 500 less than Brass Eye, which was another good show. You dont get 500 complaints about Blind Date being so goddamn awful. Why? surely that would be a more worthy cause. This show has been going since the early 80's and is about as interesting as watching a fly sitting on a sandwich.

They gotta remind themselves that a television is just a box in the corner and that theres a thing called a remote to switch off or switch over.

The main reason why comedy shows are so crap now is because of political correctness. The League Of Gentleman seems to be the only comedy now that doesnt care. If Fawlty Towers was made now, the German episode would never be made cos it might offend Germans. There was a show celebrating the talent of Dick Emery on Sunday night. The people on that said it would be percieved now as political incorrect. But i laughed at the sketches, isnt that not what the point of comedy is. Nowadays we get The Sketch Show and TV to Go. The less said about these shows the better i think.

The thing is: Do you know anyone who has actually rang up to complain cos i havent. They must be the same inbred people who want to watch programmes like Heartbeat and Monarch of the Glen.

For Gods Sake: Complainers chill out
