It was a great film, well before it's time and very clever.

and a horrible thing for a small child to see. i think that was the film that caused me to lose my innocence.

If your parents let you watch it when you were small, I wish I had parents like you. Otherwise if you just watched it without them knowing, you probably lost your innocence before then anyway.

i wouldn't say bad, i would say enlightened. she wasn't the most nuturing mother, but she gave us a very helpful dose of freedom. she didn't make me watch the films, and she was more than willing to discuss them with me afterwards. she's of the "you decide" school of parenting. i had to decide which schools i went to, which programmes i entered, which classes i took and all of that stuff, and i knew my parents would support me (not financially) all the way. i can never blame her for forcing me to do anything more than picking up after myself. she did the consciously. i think i turned out allright.

When I have kids I want to let them waych all the horror movies from an early age so that nothing scares them when they get older and their mates won't take the piss for being a poofter... I feel I've thought it all out.

That's crazy. I was shit scared of Ghostbusters when I first saw it when I was young. Now I find it laughable.

Scariest part of Ghostbusters is right near the start in the library basement. When the ghost that's reading a book turns and changes into some kind of freakish ghoul and comes screaming towards the camera, yeah, when I was young that scared the cr*p out of me. 8O

As for Zuul, that's who Sigourney Weaver got possed by (one of the hell hounds). Gozer was the funky chick covered in bubbles who became a marshmallow man. I mean, you don't get stories of this calibre any more
