The second series of Peter Kay's Channel 4 comedy Phoenix Nights has become the fastest-ever selling DVD of a TV series.
The comedy, in which Kay plays wheelchair-bound club boss Brian Potter, has sold 160,000 copies in its first week.
The series broke the record held by Ricky Gervais' The Office, which sold 80,000 during its first week on sale a year ago.
Channel 4 bosses predict Phoenix Nights could pass the million mark in the run-up to Christmas - making it the biggest selling TV DVD release ever.
It went straight into the DVD chart at number two, behind Hollywood blockbuster The Matrix Reloaded.
The Office sold more than a million copies in 13 weeks in the lead-up to Christmas last year.
The second series of The Office is released on DVD on Monday and could break Kay's new record.
