It's been discussed a bit in other threads so I thought I'd put it to the vote.

Would he work well with Chris and Dave in the mornings or would you rather see him move to afternoons with cox?

i like him an he knows his stuff. hes often the funniest thing on the breakfast show (on the rare occasions ive listened) but im not sure thats a compliment.

I'm not bothered. It's not as if the show will be losing anything if he doesn't read the sport, Chris and Dave could just talk about the sport news.

Cox might still want him as her sidekick on afternoons.

Was it on Coxy's show?

It's just I've been out all day and the only bit of Radio 1 I caught was Moyles - and he didn't mention it in his show.

As for the news reader on next year's breakfast show, I'm not really that fussed if George stays on afternoons and doesn't move. A key part of reading the news on Chris's show is to be willing to talk about your "private life" aswell, like becoming a fifth member of the team. Chappers obviously fits into this category but whenever Chris has asked George about her private life on air, she's always been really defensive, moody and unwilling to talk about it.

I think thats good. With Chappers and Dave I on, I think the show could become to football oariantated at times.

The thing about afternoons were, they didnt have any one particular news reader... it would never stay the same person for long, although Garrido in the later days was on a lot.

The way Chris was speaking though - George wouldn't be going to breakfast.

yeah by the sounds of it georgina, chappers and garido aren't going to breakfast then. I still think it'll be Dominic Bryne reading the news but I have no idea about the sport now. In the past few months Chappers and Garido have been the two main sports reporters on R1 and with neither seemingly on breakfast I wonder if someone new is coming in?

I also thought Chappers and Dave's show was quite good today...

There wasn't much talk about team news or look back at the season so far that I'd expected, It was quite good though.
