But I've noticed new jingles gradually being played now rather than before when they would introduce a load of new jingles at the same time.

No there's not!

yes it is, a lot of people are trying to get publicity, but we don't tend to get knocked back that often, for some reason most poeple seem happy with coming on our show!

They were my idea, I wanted to prove a few things to management and CHris. It worked they've gone off in a BBC kind of way and are changing structures and jumping through hoops or whatever it is they do. At the moment they tell me they'll be back.

They took my points about the coming up, spruced up the news bed and gave them a harder "in" so that we have the mechanic to start back the "coming up" on a wider scale if we wanted to

A couple of weeks ago. A full on new station sound launched which involved new voices, new way of working them into songs etc, by that very nature they will now evolve as the songs do so will always sound new and edgy.

Not most songs just over songs that are segued over the Top Of Hour or out of News

It is AMAZING how many people - genuinely - don't know what station they're listening to. It's now becoming very rare that people will listen to a station or a show like a TV programme from start to end. Especially the younger listeners (like ours) they will have 3 or 4 stations stored and will jump between them depending on song.

the commercial stations brand every song and every link so if you've jumped over for a strong song you know who it is. Radio 1 have been very bad to do that in the past. So we're tagging some songs to let people know who's brought them the tuned they love
