A good laugh - but at the end of the day - it's a work do which can be a bit wierd! Getting drunk with all your colleagues there is never good!

Tell me about it. Didn't get off with any fat birds did you...?

Aled,

A few months back people were commenting about the show and how poor it was. Clearly you didnt agree with some people, but you promised that it would change.

Are you happy with how The Chris Moyles Show has performed this year with its general output to its audience? Do you feel that the best is still to come from the show when it transfers to the Breakfast Show in 2004?

I think I said something with regards to the show, but im fairly happy with with what i've heard since then. Certainly enjoy some of the features that have appeared on the show.

Aled.

To continue to geekiness for one more time. Do you pre segue the songs on something like Cool Edit before going on air or are you or who is ever doing the segue just have great timing that they always manage to get all the jingles to always hit the vocal?

Fair enough, I was tired. I don't think Aled will tell you, though.

Aled wrote:It is AMAZING how many people - genuinely - don't know what station they're listening to. It's now becoming very rare that people will listen to a station or a show like a TV programme from start to end. Especially the younger listeners (like ours) they will have 3 or 4 stations stored and will jump between them depending on song.

Radio 2 can go 20 minutes without saying the name of the station but I guess their audience is more loyal. Maybe Chris should have a new feature: 'how to fill in your RAJAR diary' every half hour.

What are these T shirts you talk of?
Do you ever get bored with the R1 playlist?
How can you like McDonalds?
What is your favourite flavour of crisps?

I think Moyles show on Channel 5 has put more people off listening to the show.

I don't think Aled's the type to like fat birds...

Aled, if Chris says you are geeky for going on a forum, why not point him towards his posts on Usenet from 1996 / 1997 when the internet was even more geeky? http://www.chrismoyles.net/mw/moylesnews.shtml He even talks of swapping tapes and stuff.

It would be funny if you mentioned this on air.

So that you know guys, our last Drive show will be on the 5th of December. We get a week off and then we pilot our new brekkie show throught December. With a view of starting our new show in Jan.

I'm telling you now because I know you're all waiting to know and it's not a secret it's just Chris hasn't got around to talking about it on air.

For now though, could you keep this chat in the Registered User forum only until he does it officially on the show. - and that includes keeping it off the homepage as *Breaking News*!

Cheers everyone

Aled

p.s. the new show is going to be the best you've ever heard Chris. Guaranteed!

BTW

I've encouraged BBC online to work with this website for the new show - and that's a VERY big deal for BBC because they rarely do something like that.

They've come back to me saying that you don't want to!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

After all the chat about recognising you and working with you etc I'm shocked there's no want to work with us!

If you do get asked, try and be helpful! Lets work together!

I didn't realise we'd been asked. It's down to Chris (Harris) at the end of the day, but I'm disappointed if this was his response. I'm sure there would be others here who would be more than willing to support him if he thinks it's too much work.

Yeah PM Chris. The user in question is a bit of a problem. I think he must have issues...

Maybe this thread should be "privateised" again.

Sorry for sounding dense here, but I'm guessing that means you basically do the breakfast show throughout december, but without it going live on air? Kinda to familarise (sp?) yourselfs with it and such?
