My XP life cycle has currently gone into resetting for no apparent reason mode. Has anybody else encountered this?

That happenend to someone i know because the computer got a virus

resetting? As in the computer restarts every now and again? It might be the So Big Virus.

Does it give you a warning, and tells you it will go in 60 seconds?

No, you just do something, like open a folder and it just restarts itself. Don't think it's a virus because I've got anti-virus software running.

Or it could be a worm, some of them can be tricky to find and stop.
