It's going to be close this year. Any of the bottom half at the moment could go down.

Did you cheer when Bolton scored? I went to a Leeds v Newcastle game and had to sit in the Leeds stand and when Mewcastle scored, I stood up and cheered and nearly everyone turned around and stared at me. I thought I was going to get the shit kicked out of me.

* yeah - I can just imagine everyone putting him in their team now. Shame its not in the premiership.

I'm thinking that United don't give a shit about that Carling Cup. Why the * enter it in the first place? Bloody United were awful. Arsenal's bunch of reserve young players put uniteds to shame.

That lad who scored two is a gem for the future.

they dont have a choice as to whether they enter it and as fergie says it gives the reserve players a chance to play against better quality opposition.

postiga looked good for the u21s at goodison he is a talent. not like balaban.

Here we go again:

Sat 6th Dec

Newcastle 2 v 1 Liverpool (No Owen or Kewell make it difficult for visitors)
Birmingham 1 v 1 Blackburn (Newcastle need a B'ham loss but I cant see it happening)
Fulham 1 v 1 Bolton (Bolton on good form against Fulham who also on good form)
Leeds Utd 0 v 3 Chelsea (Last weeks performance against Charlton won't
be good enough for Leeds to beat Chelsea even though they beat Charlton)
Leicester 1 v 2 Arsenal (Gunners sneak a victory)
Man Utd 2 v 0 Villa (Man Utd roa back with vengeance after last weeks defeat to Chelsea)
Middlesbrough 0 v 2 Portsmouth (Pompey get first away win of season)
Tottenham 1 v 2 Wolves (Another first away victory in the same day this time for Wolves)

Sun 7th Dec

Everton 2 v 1 Man City (Both teams playing appalingly but the Toffees comeaway with maximum points)
Southampton 0 v 0 Charlton (Charlton begin to drop the pace for the champs league places)

SATURDAY

Birmingham 1 Blackburn 2 (rovers to claim a much needed win with goals from emerton and yorke..)

Fulham 2 Bolton 0 (bolton to come back down to earth after that win in midweek. saha to grab another brace..)

Leeds 0 Chelski 3 (no hope for leeds at all here. goals from crespo, duff and hasselbaink..)

Leicester 0 Arsenal 4 (no hope at all for leicester here either. arsenal will be too strong in all areas i think..)

United 3 Aston Villa 0 (united to bounce back against aston dulla...van nistelhorse will bag a couple and bellion to get the other..)

Newcastle 2 Liverpool 0 (barcodes will get another 3 points here. liverpool are in trouble of missing out on uefa cup never mind champions league. shearer to get at least one..)

Middlesbrough 1 Portsmouth 1 (they are two mid-table teams so that means it'll probably be a draw but if pompey don't pick up points soon they'll be getting in more and more trouble..)

Tottenham 2 Wolves 0 (postiga on fire? maybe not but i think that spurs will still win through comfortably with goals from keane and kanoute..)

SUNDAY

Everton 1 City 1 (hmm. i don't think that radcliffe was too far wrong when he said 0-0 today but i'll go for one all in this one..)

Southampton 2 Charlton 0 (Beattie to grab a brace as charlton begin their winter slide down the table..)

Image

also, i don't know if anyones heard yet but in the draw for the world cup 2006 qualifiers england are in the same group as wales and northern ireland..

Can't be arsed to predict the whole lot this week, but I'm going to stick my neck out and say that Leicester will manage a draw. I'm not brave enough to push optimism to it's limits though, and say they'll win.

god I'm good...

...and for the second week running I'm glad I spent my saturday afternoon freezing my bollocks off watching bury away from home. The performance against hull today was sh*t...and those moaning premiership fans among you think you've got it bad. 8O

However, I recommend anyone who's visting Hull (god knows why you would be) to visit their new ground. Tis quite nice.....£2.50 for a burger though.
