Ok I feel it is time this board had a major impact on an award and, of course, the one to win at the moment is... BBC Sports Personality.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/tv_and_ ... 222842.stm

Now many people feel Johnny Wilkinson should win, Aussies are voting for Tim Henman to stop him an there is even mention of Pippa Funnell?? Seriously do we really need another dull posh person winning the trophey? thats why my suggestion this year is ...

Emile Heskey.

Now ok he plays for the red sh*te and he is a bit rubbish but consider the facts. He seems a nice bloke, donated money to his old club to keep them afloat and does a decent job for England. But forget all that the real reason is that up till now emile has had one talent that was his own... falling over. Now this Pongo fella is even better than him at that.

So vote Heskey, create new email addresses, vote hundreds of time and this year know you have truely entered into the spirit of christmas. why not copy this an email it to all your friends? go on go on go on go on go on go on.....

there is already a campaign over here to vote a Gaelic footballer called Peter Canavan as Sports Personality. its always someone English!

Peter Canavan is possible the greatest footballer to pick up a gaelic football. Playing for Tyrone, he won his first ever All-Ireland Championship in 2003, despite playing at only 50% fitness. this was the first time Tyrone had won the All-Ireland in over 100 years. Canavan finshed to p scorer in the turnament and was announced writers player of the year. he also won yet another selection for the All-Star team.
his club have won the All-Ireland Club championship with him the driving force behind them and are likely to do it again.
this is a man truely deserving of the award as he has been through highs and lows in his career. its only fitting that as he moves into thwe last years of his career that he be honoured with the highest accolade in gaelic football...to captain an All-Ireland winning side.
he has the grace and dignity of a champion which are the obviously most important for BBC sports personality award.

no doubt oyung wilkonson will win it easy, but sure its all a bit of craic.

I wish the whole Jonnie Wilkinson thing would die down... WHO GIVES A FLYING F***.

I aint bitter being Scottish, but the whole rugby thing is so over rated.

Had you English lost you would of used the excuse "Aaah, its only Rugby.. No one cares!"

we believe you...

It's not often england win anything in any sport...let alone a world cup final against australia in their own back yard.

The Jonny Wilkinson thing will die down soon enough, just let them have their few months of glory.

That said....Emile Heskey for Sports Personality of the Year sounds like a good idea to me...

Looking forward to our match soon then? I'd want it to be Martin Johnson personally...

Actually, I agree. I'd much prefer the Sports Personality to be Johnson rather than Wilko.

Oh * this. That bloke who kicked that now missing ball over the H the other week down under will win it.

Shame its not the other world cup. Now imagine that - it would be a national holiday which wouldnt be a bad thing, actually.
