She or Mark are not pop idols. No one is going to look at them as an Idol. Sam should of won easily. Michelle sould of won the Choc Idol in teh adverts before Pop Idol though.

They were who I was refering to, how wrong I was. I wanted Chris to stay in last week too. Maybe if I start supporting Michelle the one I (now) want to win will.

I think Mark could win because of a Michelle backlash similar to what happened last year with Will and Gareth.

I think a good point was made on Pop Idol extra last night. Sam will most likely get a record deal anyway now where if it was Michelle or Mark who had gone last night their chances of a record deal weren't as good. The Pop Idol competition has given either Michelle or Mark a chance in the music industry where normally they wouldn't of got this chance.

To me this was admitting that neither of them are 'pop idols' and it is only through the competition that they would ever beable to have a chance at it.

Chris was different, in the words of Simon Cowell he was a breath of fresh air. Me and my mate Paul reckon they should replace Michelle with a tub of lard, for 2 reasons; 1) It would sound better and 2) it would sell more records on novelty value.

But if they're talented singers then surely the fact they've been given a chance to record is a good thing? Or is that what you're saying, and that the pop industry in general is geared towards making pretty people famous and people who don't fit in to a certain idea of what a pop idol should be don't get a chance to make it.

I don't think they should win POP IDOL on the basis they can sing. If they aren't POP IDOL material then surely they shouldn't be given the title POP IDOL. I don't just mean looks, but i persoanlly don't think Michelles voice is that of a POP IDOL. I think she appeals to older people though. I think it all depends what you personally class as a POP IDOL.

Let's face it, if Michelle was slim and good looking, but had the same voice I don't think she would have got as far as she has.
