The place where everyone hangs out, chats, gossips, and argues

Funky Drummer wrote:I've enjoyed the show so far. I thought the song at the start was good (although why not include all R1 Breakfast jocks!?!?) but did get annoying towatrds the end. Thank god the second time he played it he cut it off early....!

That song must have cost an absolute fortune! They could't include all the Breakfast show DJs as it woud include people no one has heard of and you couldn't make a joke about like Mike Smith and people Chris hates, like Chris Evans.

I was supprised to hear car park catchphrase again, it didn't work too well when Chris tried it in the afternoons.

That song was great... although repetitive by 4 minutes in with the continous lyrics of "The Chris Moyles Show"... and how many key changes did they get in there?

I see the story on BBC News Online links to this site... http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainmen ... 368917.stm

I thought it was funny with all the key changes. Every time you thought it was ending it just carried on.

That made laugh. I was half asleep just thinking it was about to end then a key change and it carried on, then again and again.

well as you know, every successful song needs a key change...

Moyles probably paid it so many times as a lot of work clearly went in to making it... and they probably wanted to make sure as many people as possible heard it.

Was it made by Music4? As mentioned in another post somewhere...

Im listening from about an hour in now. I did set my minidisc to record but thats blown up...so the listen again feature is handy.

Is there any way to open the listen again stream in realplayer instead of the BBC Player thingy, cos the quality keeps going bad, normally when it's live if i pause it tehn play again in real one it makes it good again?

That's strange because I'm listening through that url now.

Although, come to think about it I was playing the "Radio Player" version when I started the RealOne link.

So start the Radio Player one going, then load RealOne, start streaming that url, then once it's started close the Radio Player version (if that makes sense).

Paste the link to your address bar or save the .rpm file to your HD. You can find the links in the source of the radio player.

It'll depend on how recently you've listened to (or at least loaded) the proper "Radio Player".

Are you sure?

I am not a big fan of the informal news, he didn't have much ammusing to say about much of it, it just seems egotistical.

I agree with Jimmy on the news - I didn't like how Chris kept interuppting it attempting to be funny. Don't think it worked very well and it made the news (some of which was quite important) seem small and insignificant, particularly when the newsreaders say things such as:

"oh, and another thing, Osama bin Laden has sent a tape to Al Jazeera...."

It's hardly an "oh, and another thing" sort of item!

That bit could of been done a bit better. But why was the Britney Spears story first anyway? They should start with the more important news and then the less important and let Chris interupt then.

Carpark Catchphrase was alright in the end.

After just finishing listening to the show online I think I agree on the news thing, it is a different format from the normal news which tries to blend it in with the show more but maybe the news and the show should be seperate. It's only the first day though so might aswell give it a chance and see how it works out.

Listener comments from the first day seem alright. The negative ones seem to be based around the news thing and people who don't like Chris' attitude/personality but that is nothing new, theres always been people who didn't like Chris' style. Seems that people generally liked the new 'fresh' show.

Tedious Link will continue to be a popular feature I think.

As far as Buzz Off is concerned, however good or bad people may consider it to be it surely can't last that long! Chris' CD collection can't be *THAT* big to be able to sustain it every weekday for a year or so!!!
