Sounds so funny when bits of an audio package are called "furniture".

Ooo, now I have questions.

You don't still use physical cart machines, do you? Are you talking "walls" of buttons on a computer touchscreen? Radio Scotland offloaded their big, bulky cart machines on us a few years ago, and two of 'em still work great.

Are you allowed to say what software you use to play back jingles and playlist tracks? If I recall, it was custom designed by some firm in Germany...

I thought it was Radioman but thats purely a guess. Knowing Radio 1 they probably have something far superior

It's a system called VCS - The Network Radios all use it and BBC News have just bought it.

Hi Aled

It's probably been said many times before but I think that the new Breakfast show has got off to a fantastic start. I admit I was critical of the final few months of the afternoon show, but being a long time Moyles listener, I realise this was a little hasty and that it's only fair that I come out and praise the new show.

With the Sony Radio Awards coming up and the closing date for entries on the 28th of this month, have you and 'the team' already put together an entry, and if so, have you put clips from the Afternoon Show, The Breakfast Show or both?

Oooh that's a tricky one. I think the shows have gone really well, I know we're all really proud of them. There are a couple of things yet to come, one of which starts next week but they're pretty subtle so you may not even notice them.

We've got so much coming up that it's mind-boggling and it's proving hard to book holidays for the year! I suppose that's a good sign though!

Currently 74 people think Aled has a Slim to none chance. The other 55 people think he's going to win.

Lots of people taken part in that poll, eh?
