New Rajar figures are showing that Radio 1 continued to lose listeners in the fourth quarter.

The station's share declined to 7.7%, down from 8% during the third quarter and 8.4% in the same quarter in 2002. Reach dropped to 9.44m, down from 9.85m in the third quarter, and a substantial decrease from 10.51m in the fourth quarter of 2002.

The BBC said that the figures do not represent a recent major re-engineering of the station's schedule.

Fortunately for the BBC, they can bury this under all the other news about them  .

I think they might be more worried about the loss of Greg Dyke instead of some of their listeners at the moment.
