“Catch a n****r by his toe” is the next line of the poem in one version which used to be popular in the Deep South.
Newer versions replace n****r with “fishy” and “tiger” but the first line still offends the black community, says pressure group Blink.
Masterfoods apologised and explained “As far as we were concerned, in this day and age, the words were commonly used to show the difficulty in making a choice”.
