seb was just pretty quick off the mark, you know i created this thread and i didn't wanna sound too rude - you know i didn't wanna do "anyone got a gmail account? good, invite me then." but i probably might have got further if i did.. oh well *sits and waits in hope* tis the only thing i can do..

no no, grateful i shall be - mcqueen, i need a new address anyway as my hotmail account (created about 2 years ago) gets about 50 spam emails a day or something ridiculous like that anyway, so i figured i might as well get a decent account elsewhere, although it's funny because google have just scared the free email market, now hotmail is boosting its storage space to 125mb or something and yahoo email is getting better too, ah it's just that the google email offers so much more than others including the extra space, the whole system is far better than most others, it's got the integrated keyboard shortcuts, the system of viewing correspondence like a conversation, in a threaded type way - there's loads of other things, it just looks much much better than rubbishy ol' hotmail.. so yeah, in short - i do really really want an account and i will be ever grateful if i get an invite from someone.. didn't mean to make it sound otherwise.. heh

I know what they offer and it isn't that good.

It's a good advertising method of Googles though making it appear to be only an elite group of beta tester who have accounts so everyone wants to be part of that group.
